Before donating make it your duty to check how much you are spending. A great way to do this is use google's currency conversion tool, which is updated to the global market. It can be found at http://www.google.com/finance/converter When I donate to Ls-rcr, paypal requests US Dollars.

Below is an example: Let's say you're Australian and your home currency is Australian Dollars.


This shows at the current market 1 Australian Dollar is equal to only 0.94 US Dollars.
That means if I am donating $5 , it will actually cost you this much:

Now that's not much difference, but when you change to currencies that are not as influential in the global market, big differences can occur. If you are looking into currency conversion before donating I suggest following the same, or similiar method and checking before hand, so you know how much money will be debited from your account.
