Donating for a house: (two options)

* 1. The basics.
* 2. Donating to create a new house.
* 3. Donating to take over a house from someone else.

If you're interested in the basics of house donating, you basically go to point number one.
However if you want to create a new house, where there currently is no house pickup you go to point number two.
And if you found a house that you would really like to buy, and the player is inactive, you go to point number three.

* 1.

When you want to donate for a house, you need 6 DPs no matter what. It doesn't matter if you want to create a new house, or take over another one. The price will always be 6 DPs, and there is currently nothing that changes this (this is very recent - used to be about interiors). There are however interiors out there, and some of those might cost more than 6 DPs (there's a lot of them which are free, which you can select on the UCP).

Whenever you want to donate for a new house (creating a new house somewhere), you need to make sure that it's actually available. By this I mean that there's no house icon there from before. For example, if there's a lot of houses next to each other on the same building, and you see a door that's free - you're allowed to donate there. Or if you for find a large building with several doors, you'll most likely be able to place a house at a door there even if there are other houses there (there are exceptions - admins are here to help you out, so if you're unsure don't bother asking). However if it's an actual house (one that looks like those in Richman, or for example Glen's house) it's only allowed with one door at the front entrance. This means that you're not allowed to place a house icon there (but even if you do, admins would deny it so nothing to worry about).

When you're placing the house icon, make sure that you're at a door that you're allowed to donate at. Make sure that you're at the centre, and as close to the door as possible (sometimes we might deny it, if the location you chose is inaccurate or bad looking - so be careful.

* 3.

When you want to donate for a house that someone else owns, you need to make sure that they have been inactive for 60 days for an undonated house, and 90 days for a donated house (admins can check if it's undonated or donated for you - also there are circumstances where you have to wait longer but the admin would know). To check for how long a player has been inactive go here:

Replace THEIR_NAME with their name, and look at last online. It will tell you how many days have passed since they last logged in.
If the house is eligible, you are able to buy it. Press F on the house icon and then click the "Donate for the house" button, the server will automatically take 6 donation points from your account, and you will become the owner of it along with a free interior change and a donated status.
You may also use the UCP house store to donate for a house.
