LS-RCR SWAT GROUP
LS-RCR SWAT STAFF COMMAND TEAM

DOCUMENT: BEING A GREAT SWAT OFFICER

Hello S.W.A.T. Officers!

We would like to welcome you into the team, and wish you a lot of luck with your new duties. We hope you will enjoy this faction, that you will follow our rules, and make us very proud!

Here we will explain which things you should follow to make a great member, how to interact with both community and the S.W.A.T. team as well.

Firstly we will cover the usual things that can happen, and how you should deal with those things to avoid any possible conflicts, and make others, as well as yourself enjoy the game as much as possible.

One of the things that is very common to happen once you are a member is that suspects you and your team have been chasing, might get ‘stolen’ by another Law Enforcement Officer. The word ‘stealing’ might be mentioned in this situation, but let’s not mistake this and look at it as something that is bad.

We are in a group of ‘Law Enforcement Officers’, and as such it is our unified duty to neutralize and bring criminals to justice. If someone else does it instead of us, the goal is still achieved, and there is no need to be angry with another officer arresting the criminal, and helping you with those duties. It is not the end of the world if that happens since there are plenty of other suspects which you will drag/arrest/kill, and one ‘stolen’ suspect shouldn’t make you lose your temper, and make you criticize other LEO for dealing with him.

It is in our best interest to represent S.W.A.T. faction as a mature, and professional set of players who have a good and mature attitude, and who do not let themselves display vulgarity and hostility to others.
This means that you should respect others at all times, and try to be mature when dealing with problematic situations, never allowing yourself to insult someone, or hold a grudge about someone who did a certain thing which is to your dislike. After all, this is a game, and the whole point of it is to have fun, and enjoy spending your time playing it, so let’s not try to forget that.

Also, since you are a S.W.A.T. member now, your duties and whole in-game experience will be somewhat different, since you will usually deal with more serious tasks when it comes to neutralizing one, or a whole group of suspects. What we are trying to say here is that yes, you will get killed/robbed/raped, and that is perfectly all right, that is why this game is so enjoyable, looking at this from perspective of criminals.

Let’s not neglect the criminals, because if it weren’t for them, S.W.A.T., Police, and Army wouldn’t really have anything to do. So when you do get killed or robbed, do not look at that negatively, instead try to look at it as a challenge, and try to improve your skills so that next time you will be ready.

Do not display anger to people who do this to you, it is their job, same as you have a job of catching them. Respect is the key-word here, so we kindly ask you to follow these lines and make your gameplay more enjoyable for everyone.

Other very important and crucial thing we will cover here is the whole interaction with the gaming community, your teammates, and High Command of the S.W.A.T. team.

It is your duty as mentioned before to always display our team in the best possible way, since that vision people have of us will keep the faction going, and keep people interested in joining. Having good relations with the community, and especially among us in the team will show that we indeed are a mature and professional group, and as such we have standards, so never forget this duty you have, because after all, you have been trusted enough with the position in the team, that is the least you can do to prove that we haven’t made a mistake with accepting you.

The last thing we will mention is wisdom, respect, and maturity.
Many things in life can be threatened and lost because of selfish desires one might have, especially when in a community/group of people. You must never forget that we here operate as a unified group, not in , not individual person doing things only for themselves.

What we want you to understand here is to never forget that we are a team, we operate together, and we deal with things together, not alone.

One particular problem which can occur here is about the promotions, where your activity and whole set of skills, same as attitude will be taken into consideration, which in the end will finalize whether you will or will not get promoted. Do not let this break your spirit, and make you less motivated, in case you do not get promoted. Sometimes a member may be great, but not promoted simply because we do not want to make that member get too fast to the high rank, again thinking about how others would feel if that were to happen.

Promotions are after all just a small edition created to make the game-play more fun, and interesting, they are not at all essential for a member, and should not be taken as a primary goal in the S.W.A.T. team. Having fun, and being respectful is something to be taken much more seriously, thus, we kindly ask you not to cause any problems, and anger when it comes to the promotions, always be mature and truly think about it, before you make any comment regarding promotions.

And finally, let’s talk about how others may treat you while in-game, and how you should respond, or sometimes if you should respond at all.

Not everyone is mature, and not everyone will respect you as a part of the community, and that is perfectly fine, not everyone can like you, and not everyone has to. You will get verbally insulted, attacked, annoyed, BUT, it is very crucial and important when it comes to dealing with things like this, that you remain cool, and not insult or abuse them. Responding to them aggressively will not help at all, instead it will only prolong the problems, and make you and other player(s) more infuriated, resulting in further conflict.
Remember how you should be representing our faction, and do not ever let something so insignificant as a hostile player throw you off, and make you into something that you don’t want to be. A good S.W.A.T. player will ignore the hostility, he will try to reason, and help others, and most importantly he will leave a good presentable image of what we are, and how S.W.A.T. deals with things maturely and with professionalism.

Let this guide help you when you are in difficult situations, and let it remind you of what we are, and what our goals are, so that you won’t disappoint us, and yourself.

Once again, we welcome you in the team, and we hope you will enjoy spending time as a S.W.A.T. officer.

Make us proud!
