DOCUMENT: S.W.A.T. VOTING GUIDE

This is a guide that will help you to make an appropriate vote in S.W.A.T. applications. It also contains guidelines for making recommendations.

A. Who Can Vote?

Answer:
You may vote on applications starting from Recruit (RCT) rank.

B. How Should I Vote?

Answer:
As mentioned earlier S.W.A.T. Members can give a positive, neutral or negative vote at S.W.A.T. applications. The factors you must take into consideration when voting are:
    - Skills
    - Rules knowledge
    - Attitude
    - Activity
    - Reason
    - Stats
    - Applicant's history (did he rule break, was he kicked etc.)

Each of those factors will be explained below.

C. Skills

Answer:
Skills are of course the most important factor when voting. It's crucial to have a high speed of commands since it's the most important skill in S.W.A.T.. Even if everything else is great but the applicant has poor speed of commands he can get denied. Driving and shooting is also very important since we are an elite team and we demand our members to be skilled in every main skill field. There is no minimal limit you have to score to be accepted but we usually demand the applicant to have at least 4/5 in speed of commands and bit lower in other skills.

D. Rules Knowledge

Answer:
You have to score at least 4.5/5 on the S.W.A.T. Rules test to pass it. Even if the member has passed the test, a grade of 4.5/5 is still a poor knowledge of rules and the applicant should spend more time studying the rules. Since we do not accept rule breakers you can get denied for a poor knowledge of the rules/score because we cannot be sure you're going to obey them.

E. Attitude

Answer:
Another important fact is the applicant's attitude. It's understandable that everyone has a different personality and that not everyone can get along with one another but we demand the applicant to be friendly towards everyone, not to flame/insult/rage and generally to behave mature.

F. Activity

Answer:
You are not required to play the game everyday and/or all day but you have to log on time to time or else we cannot expect you to maintain high skills. If you cannot be active over a shorter period of time just announce your inactivity in the Leaving notifications topic. If you're going to be inactive for a longer time just leave the faction and re-apply once you're active again.

G. Reason

Answer:
Besides telling the S.W.A.T. members why the applicant wants to join S.W.A.T. it also shows the effort put in the application. If the reason is well constructed, without grammar errors and is long enough you can conclude the applicant has put effort in the application. And of course, the applicant should stay on topic and tell us why he wants to join S.W.A.T. (what has attracted him to join). Note: Applicants should be motivated to join S.W.A.T. because of the faction itself (members, teamwork etc.) and not by any features (roadblocks, SWAT bomb etc.) because they will most likely leave when the features get boring.

H. Stats

Answer:
As an applicant, you need to have some experience as cop before applying. The cop job doesn't differ too much from what S.W.A.T. does so it's important to have a decent cop /status which will show us that you have some experience and knowledge about how the law enforcers take down suspects.

I. Applicant's History

Answer:
S.W.A.T. does not accept any rule breakers. It's very important that the Applicant has not broke any rules recently so we can be sure that he obeys the rules. (A similar case is when the member was kicked from S.W.A.T.) If the applicant has switched factions few times it's unlikely we will stay in S.W.A.T. for a longer time again (people like that usually just leave when it's boring and go for features) so that should be also considered when voting.

J. Making the Vote

Answer:
It's recommended to use a voting format in which you explain your vote and comment it. Examples of voting formats can be found here

Before you make a vote be sure you have read and understood all voting rules

Recommendations

S.W.A.T Staff members can make a recommendation at Army applications. Army staff members can make a recommendation at S.W.A.T. applications. You can give a recommended or not recommended.

Recommended should be given rarely and only to people who are unique and have really deserved it. That are usually very skilled people with a nice attitude and who have really deserved to be accepted.

Not recommended should be given for a specific reason. The usual reasons are rule breaking and insulting/flaming (bad attitude). Please note that not recommending someone for reasons like "bad test" or "low cop status" is invalid and against the rules.
