I thought of creating a different thread for this to actually know about mistakes in the Qur'an. Please let me know what mistakes and scientific errors you've found in the Qur'an. Please reply with verse number or source from which you got that information. Be sure not to copy paste stuff from Internet without doing a research on that yourself first.

Questions:
1) Qur'an appreciates terrorism and holy war?
Here's the answer:
5:32 wrote:
Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.
There's no such word as "Holy war" in Qur'an so the answer is simply no.

2) Qur'an 34:9 - Do they not look at what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and earth? If We should will, We could cause the earth to swallow them or [could] let fall upon them fragments from the sky. Indeed in that is a sign for every servant turning back.

Do you think that clouds that forms above are just weightless? Do you think clouds are heavy or light? Maybe you'd say light but Qur'an stated 1400 years ago that clouds were not light at all but instead they could be very heavy. Sounds stupid, right? Let's look into these verse: (interpretation of the meaning)

And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy until, when they have carried heavy rain-clouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded. - (Qur'an Chapter 7: verse 57)

It is He who shows you lightening, [causing] fear and aspiration, and generates the heavy clouds. - (Qur'an Chapter 13: verse 12)

This verse was taken as a joke centuries back but today modern science tells us that the clouds which forms above could weight up-to millions of pounds and you can google this yourself if you don't believe me. No wonder how could a person 1400 years back could get to know such information without any scientific equipment. So now we know that clouds could weight up-to that much makes it clear that if the one who created all things wants to make a cloud fall on somewhere, it's not a big deal for him.

Oggy, if any of us fails to explain any of your questions, you'll end up thinking you were right all the time and probably ignore the subject forever.

Please refer to well known people familiar with Quran explanation like Dr. Zakir Naik, google your question and his name together, or youtube search. Quran explanation isn't easy, I'm glad me and San managed to answer some of your questions.

A lot of Zakir's arguments make very little sense, check the videos that I posted above.

How do you explain the scientific errors in the Qur'an? Considering the words were sent by Allah and he is all-knowing, shouldn't it all be correct?

I have found a couple of examples: The world is flat, sun sets and rises at a specific location (sets into muddy water), solid sky.

You don't have to answer if you don't like the question - I am just curious to see how a muslim explains this.

The are scientific errors in the bible too of course, as there probably is for most religions.
Please tell me the mistakes and scientific errors in the Qur'an. Indeed, the words were sent by God and he is all-knowing. God nowhere says in the Qur'an that Earth is flat. Qur'an doesn't says that sun sets and rises at a specific location but instead it says that the Sun and moon are moving round at their own axis. Further more Qur'an says that skies which you say aren't just gases but they could weight up-to 1 kilo ton or more and today science agrees with this. I'd be really happy if you could give me a verse which says any of the thing you wrote.
The Qur'an both strongly implies and states that the world is flat.

"And the earth have We spread out, and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein,"

"He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others."

"And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out),"

I do not see how you can compare the earth to a carpet unless you believe the earth is flat.

Also about the sun setting and rising in a specific place:

"Till, when he reached the setting-place of the sun, he found it setting in a muddy spring, and found a people thereabout. We said: O Dhu'l-Qarneyn! Either punish or show them kindness. .... Till, when he reached the rising-place of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had appointed no shelter therefrom."

And here the Qur'an strongly implies that the sky is solid:

"Then He ordained them seven heavens in two Days and inspired in each heaven its mandate; and We decked the nether heaven with lamps, and rendered it inviolable. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Knower,"

"Who hath created seven heavens in harmony. Thou (Muhammad) canst see no fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Canst thou see any rifts ?"

This verse implies that there are no holes in heaven. It's impossible for heaven or space to have holes or cracks unless the sky is solid.

"See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance)."

It's also impossible for a piece of the sky to fall down down on a person unless it is solid.

And also there's a biological error:

"Man should reflect on what he was created from. He is created from spurting fluid, preceding between the backbone and the ribs"

I don't think I have to explain why this one is wrong.

Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.
/sulb/ 'backbone' and /tara'ib/ 'ribs', as mentioned in this verse, where the fluid comes forth from between them. In these ideas the commentators mostly try to comment on these two terms referring to man and woman from which the egg and sperm form the fetus.

But, primarily it should be noted that the verse is speaking only about a man's fluid, because 'a drop emitted' belongs to a man not to a woman since that of a woman does not emit.

This is a clear commentary and the meanings of the terms simply conform to what is found in a dictionary. Meanwhile, there may be greater facts hidden in the verse that modern science has not found yet, however, scientists may uncover them in the future. Please note that it's not yet disapproved by science and neither approved. I believe that like other verses were denied before but later approved by science, this one would also go like that. Let's wait for the modern science to uncover things for you as you believe in science so there's nothing else I could ask you to do except wait for science to uncover them in future.

What's wrong in all these? Aren't we created from a fluid ejected?

1) It's already 100% sure that sperm comes from testicles and we have special ducts for it. There's nothing left to be proved
about it.
2) The author of Quran doesn't even mention the ovum. He's supposed to have all the knowledge but he seems to have 0 knowledge of ovum. He thinks that every ingredients necessary for a new baby comes from the men body, i.e semen and the womb is just a place to house it.

@CXdur and Oggy

Regarding the first video, I'll generalize then try to be as much specific as possible, is the discoveries of the ancient people all correct? You made sure of that? Also, you should know that sometimes a word can be explained in several lines or carry several meanings, will reply after taking another look on the video and doing some research cause I'm not at home currently.
