It doesn't work like that. Since you're choosing an entirely different name, you have to pay the normal cost 12 Dps. Suppose you want to replace the dot in your name with another character, Siege. > SiegeX you now only need to pay 3 dps instead of 12 dps.
Siege. > SiegXX (2 character change - price is 6 dps) Siege. > SieXXX (3 character change - price is 9 dps) Siege. > SiXXXX (4 character change - price is 12 dps)
Bruh, it is as I understood 3 DPs for a letter change, which makes a letter costs 3 DPs until it finds the way to the 12. Maybe it is a little too much? In my opinion making the letter change for 1 DP much better and would be more sensible.

Price for 1 letter change is now 1 DP. If you change multiple letters however, the price is still 3 DP per letter.
The cost of any name change will now be calculated based on the amount of character changes you plan on making to your name. This means minor changes will now be charged at a lower rate while the maximum cost for a full change still remains the same. You can now expect to pay either 3, 6,9 or 12 DPs for changes to your username. As a side note however, the 7 day cooldown for name changes still remains the same.
