Hi,

With the recent community feedback about the server policy which has been present for years if not from Day 1, we have made sure players' ideas were taken seriously to introduce changes.
You should be more kind and humble when it comes to bans. It's just a game after all, isn't it? Let those who enjoy it really enjoy it, and those who make mess around, punish them in an appropriate way.
The following has been concluded:

We have mixed views on the matter. While it would make sense to permanently ban anyone who cheats, it's also killing the playerbase in long term because not everyone who hacks is a threat to the community. For reason how our system with banning works, it's very hard for admins to know past infractions of a player when he cheats in real time. If we brought fixed punishments for bans, that would mean every single admin would have to check the player through third party applications to find out if he cheated before issuing a punishment to be able to set a proper duration. This costs time and complicates the situation. It adds more room to mistakes.

Undoubtedly, ls-rcr has always kept the highest quality standards of all servers out there. While they aim for high increase in player counts, we have continued to develop a system where quality means more than quantity. It means it gives opportunity for players to connect with different life backgrounds and allow them to grow up playing the game within a community and not click2play server. Many members have grown up from their early teens to their late 20's if not 30's within this community, at which age life takes a sudden turn and leaves little choice and time to spend around.

We should care about quality and we should enforce rules to the level which allows community to grow, not just maintain itself. Sa-mp is not the top game in 2019 and this impacts our players count and growth. By adding a big list of regulations and community standards to this, we are left with a very few new members every year. It's time to bring a change to engage more diplomacy and guidelines for players.

How do we preserve quality but still enable the suggestion? Simple. Players who appeal their bans will be reviewed and only their punishments can be discussed and edited. This enables us to hand pick individuals for second chances based on their unique case (whether that may be age, past punishments, attitude, quality of appeal, etc.).

What about the punishments duration? Every admin who's appointed is considered to judge players objectively to our server rules and its updates. This means if a player who's banned for cheats (example: speed hacking) appeals, the admin can either let it remain a permanent ban because he was banned in past for the same infraction (could be on other accounts), or set a duration which can range from a day to a year, or immediate unban if the player is clean from past infractions. Assistant seniors will make sure everyone judges objectively and if needed they will provide additional notes or edit ban durations if they are deemed wrong by the administrators. In light of this, scenarios where players cheat to gain money (example: speed hacking to Claude) may be subject of account stats edit if unbanned.

What about aimbots and keybinds?Considering the time and evidence it takes to issue a ban for the following which negatively affects the entire community and our game-mode, ANY bans issued for aimbot or keybinding will remain permanent without the chance to ever be unbanned. Anything that damages or promotes any type of abuse in server will remain bannable as it is, subject to staff corrections.

Tagged members or players with higher score (5000+) who cheat
This suggestion and policy revision is not meant to be abused by members who are well aware of the rules. They will remain permanently banned with zero tolerance.

Evading temporary bans
If a player is banned for insulting with a 7 days ban duration and evades it, he should not be banned permanently but twice the duration of the main ban. This scenario would mean 14 days and is subject to staff corrections depending on ban evasions count and prior punishments.

The new policy will enable us to give second chances to people who deserve them, not those who beg for them. We will continue to maintain the highest quality standards and make sure everyone has a pleasant experience playing ls-rcr. It will mark itself next month - 1.4.2019. It won't be noticed at start, but it will in long term. Maybe not while you or me are around, but members in future that will be there because we allowed them to be.

On behalf of ls-rcr staff,
JC

Only thing I disagree with is, that players who evade temporary bans, will be banned for 14 days, it should be atleast 1 month, but we still don't know how will this work how. Let's see how well does this so. Nice job.
Edit: and also tagged players WITH score higher than 5000+, score was never to be considered while applying for tag, the requirement is just set so that people can get along with members and while gaining score. If someone gets 3k score, applies for tag and gets it, and cheats, then he should be banned permanently regardless whatever his score was. Let's not judge bans based upon score now

Even if 1 day ban is evaded they should be banned for 1 month for evading any ban of any time duration.

I'm totally agree with it. Anyone can make a mistake, but we shouldn't punish him more based on his score, score is just a number, not a personality.

The key word is ''OR''. As long as we talk about a tagged member, then they will remain permanently banned, whether they have 3k or 6k score. Tag comes first, then score in this case.

Glad to hear this, hopefully we will get more quality players and those who got banned will learn something from their past.
