This topic is mainly info about tag for new players since alot ask about it.

The [Lsrcr] tag is a representation of the community, I get questions in game about tag so I decided to post this. These are answers to random questions that I have gotten alot/ statements that aren't how it is along with general info.

1. Tag will not get you more friends. Most of the friends I have in game I made before tag.

2. You must be respectful, friendly and trusted /before/ getting tag.

3. Not having tag doesn't mean you can't help newer players. I helped out new players with any info that I got, I asked dumb questions to admins/experienced players just so I can better help them.

4. Getting tag does mean that you are fully accepted by the community (in most cases) but that doesn't mean non tagged members can't be accepted just the same. In my case I wanted a symbol of that acceptance.

5. If you want tag, you should follow the rules more than your average player, talk in mainchat and prove that you can be trusted. (Don't be fake just to get tag)

6. When getting tag you are accepting responsibility and claiming that you know the rules. Also don't be afraid to /ask if your unsure about stuff. I am forgetful so I do often ask for a reminder. I also like to be 100% sure that I understand something. It's always good to be sure even if you think you know.

7. When you apply for the tag, reasons like "I want tag because I want to be a pro" are not what tag are about. I have around 70 kills and over 150 deaths, am I a pro? No LOL

8. There is no secret to getting tag, I've seen people with 14 positives and 0 negatives get denied so if the admins feel you deserve tag they will give it to you. Yes, the community votes but that just gives the admins an idea on how the community views a player.

9. The tag does mean something, just some people don't treat the tag like they should, because there aren't that many in game perks. There probably are other reasons but I have only seen that one stated.


Well that's all I can remember about general questions I've gotten/things I wanted to say. Just play the game, have fun and don't make the main goal of the game to get tag. My main goal is to always have fun :3 (when my computer cooperates)

You make some very good points not just for tag applications but also for success in real life, also as you stated tag is a privilege not a right but that's for all privileges meaning that if one does not do what he's supposed to be doing (or at least acts in a way that proves they are not deserveing of said privilege) it can be taken away until further notice. Also the part where you said to be respectful and act in a friendly mannor that should be obvious but still helpful nonetheless I agree with most of what was said here.
