How about we double the /pu range as well?
I'm all for this. /pu range is extremely short for vehicle to vehicle usage.
I hope things will be back the same as it used to be before V9 ( For cops gameplay )
Let's not. Things are actually pretty fair now. Cops actually have to work for their score, and criminals have to actually work to get away. It's not all about who can shoot the other first or who can spam the fuck out of /taze. It's about actual skill now. The only people who don't like this, are /taze spamming kids with no skills to actually win in a fair use fight. LSRCR has modernized since early samp. Early CnR SAMP servers. especially roleplay ones, wouldn't let you shoot unless shot at. Had to have fired at a cop before you could kill them. Private bases were non-existent. Free weapons were unheard of, you bought everything dirt cheap from a shore or gun runner. Players had to be smart and outwit each other, not just be faster with a gun. C-bug and 2-shot was an instant BAN for bug abuse. No really. Most servers back then would outright BAN you for something this server does every day. I don't get it, but I won't complain either. The server allows it, it's not my place to say anything against it. But the 'kill everyone' attitude the server has gotten is more of a TDM feel, not a CnR Roleplay feel.
Just a reminder to everyone before we go completely off topic, my suggestion is only based on when Orange wanteds Steals any Law Enforcement vehicle. Otherwise i like the update of not straight killing Orange suspects, and since it happens just a few times now and then that a Orange player steals an Law Enforcement Vehicle i highly doubt that it would increase the killing of Orange players.

Last reply attempt timed out, so I'll be typing this separately and uploading it.
Also, I'll concentrate mostly on the original suggestion on this post, specifically the following:

"Law Enforcement Officers (cops) should be allowed to open fire/kill every Orange who enters any Law Enforcement vehicle (Police Car, Police Helicopter, Police Bike)"

First, let's understand the current situation and how we got there.

Current situation:
-> Cops need to /pu and wait before engaging orange/low wanted criminals.
-> After time passes, they can engage.
-> If they engage and kill before time passes, they are fined.

How we got there:
-> For a while, gameplay was just team A and team B filling up cars with m4 shooters on roof, and chasing after the other team.
-> Cops would try to kill/ar criminals, and criminals would try to kill/rob/rape cops.
-> Experience was therefore short in duration
-> "duels" were fast - you can only run in circles for so long before you get bored and/or killed
-> "chases" would be subsonic fast - 97% of chases were decided by what team got to the other team first and started spraying with m4 earlier
-> If you allow some fun elements to remain, but make the gameplay events longer, you can make the experience more entertaining for everyone

So, the aim of these updates are (in my interpretation) to try to make some events longer while trying to still have fun elements to make the experience better.

------------------------------

So to clarify, it's an absolute negative from me.

I'll try to address some points that some of the comments below have made in a separate post, since it's happened before and it continues to happen.

To add to my last post:

"Unnecessary Use Of Violence (penalty for LEOs)

Now this might lead to officers choosing to kill over arrest since there is not going to be a penalty in case they die, however we can counter that by punishing LEOs (except Army) when they kill a criminal that hasn't fired at them at all. In other words, if a criminal has shot an officer then they are 'allowed' to kill him (self-defence) without being punished (could be a 2k fine or so), but if criminal has 'surrendered' or hasn't fired any shots at all then he shall be arrested and is not kill-able (officers will still be able to kill them but will be getting punished for doing so). This does not ruin dueling by any means, LEOs can still fight criminals if they shoot first. Only thing it does is discourage killing when wanted suspect does not pose any threat at all and is complying.

In case many criminals are involved, if at least one of them shoots an officer then all criminals within X range are killable, basically the ones involved in the fight/have assisted.

---

Reason why we have suggested both Medical Fees and Penalty for Unnecessary Use of violence is because we are trying to focus more on a CnR gameplay rather than TDM, which looks to be the case nowadays. Constant killing, dueling, not valuing life at all and whatnot is not what defines a CnR server but rather a Deathmatch one and I hope you all understand that. I have added two reactions, be sure all to vote and think about it properly before doing so. Whoever is interested they can also type something out of course and leave their opinion (especially if they are against it so we can see why), but try to keep the channel as clean as possible so we can read everyone's comment. Those are just ideas however and numbers or how things work might be adjusted if needed"

Im positive with this since so many years leos were suppose to receive a score without penalty they suddenly changed it

They get penalty over a valid reason...

m8, orange wanteds havent committed heavy crimes, meaning they should be arrested. Killing an orange is like a police officer irl killing someone for mugging someone - it's murder. i'm glad the penalty has been added, now cops are actual cops and not CopArmy.

as for the suggestion, i'll give it a proper read then vote

After reading the suggestion and Rally3's comments, I'll have to agree with him and go negative - Rally has explained it all very well and there's nothing else I could add that he hasn't already.

While it might be annoying to chase a Orange Wanted in a helicopter, as a regular police officer; you might not be able do anything since (as a police officer) your job is to arrest them, so it might be best to leave it to a better equipped team (Swat/Army).

Let's not forget (as Rally mentioned) this is a Cops and Robbers server, not TDM - so we should think of suggestions like these as "would cops actually kill someone for stealing a government vehicle?" - the answer would be no, they would be arrested as soon as they were caught.

I'm absolutely against implemention of the suggestion above.

A suspect who has stolen a PD car isn't such a big threat and policemen should pursue him before deciding to shoot at him, so if you're after the suspect you can ask him to pull over (/pu), but if he refuses to pull over then you can shoot and kill him or if he surrenders then you can do the job you're supposed to do, arrest him.

Most people use PD cars to become wanted and the update we had (not long ago), wouldn't have any effect if we implemented this as the majority of wanteds are involved in stealing PD cars. We're trying to reduce TDM and promote CnR as much as we can, as my colleagues mentioned above.

I agree but the thing is such an update is introduced soo late that the existing players already have benifited by killing oranges and gained some easy score as the update is introduced now the new players will find it difficult who are used to shooting gaing some easy score is not possible for them as they are forced to /pu if they are using a vehicle or arrest an orange forcefully left with no other choice even factions are immune to fines but only the poor blue cops are targeted

1. Better late than never.
2. New players will realize and get used to it, as will everyone

If the cops are able to kill any criminals, what's the point of army?
