I think we could make it a bit worse...

1: The jail should be custom made, not alca or something. Something that seems fitting, like a circus.
2: Another idea is that should they AFK for 10 or more minutes, they should have their time stop. To get it going again, they would get a RANDOM question about the rules which they need to answer to continue the clock.
3: anyone caught attempting to evade their jail by making a new account gets their new account locked, and their main has ALL money removed, along with all the score. Then they really get screwed for breaking the rules.
Lmao that's nice, But looks impossible.
It aint. We had it on my old home server. We created "Black Hell", a black box with light up objects that played horror sounds. And it asked questions every ten minutes.

Oh, staff can absolutely remove money/score from someone's account, I've watched them do it.

Seems a bit too extreme for a game this old lol. A lot of well-known players have warnings, including me, however I think this is too much; in the case someone accidentally breaks a rule, they'll end up in jail for a long time. While you are correct that it would most likely lower the cases of rulebreaking, it'll also most likely deter players from wanting to come back to the game since they risk going to jail at the slightest rulebreak. It's not hard for admins to punish players, it's literally like typing /cuff /search /ar or with a few clicks.

I know if I got jailed for 10 hours, I'd never join the game again, and then it's the server itself that ends up suffering. I understand the pain of rule breakers constantly being a nuisance, but I don't think this is the way to deal with them.

I don't think this would be a first offense. You'd get a verbal warning, an official warning, probably another official warning, and THEN you get this jail thing.

I think jailing rule-breakers for a prolonged period of time would be rather silly. Official warnings are an already effective way of us punishing rule-breakers. They are monitored and players who accumulate several warnings in a short period of time end up being temporarily suspended. Similarly, when players accumulate a considerable amount of warnings throughout their time here and end up showing no signs of improvement, their time here comes to an end.

To support venom's idea, I'll suggest something else applies to this case..

A newbie (uc) chased by cops, he used /q to evade jail, then logged in again to keep the same mistake going on, but the server at this situation requires an email, this rulebreaker can use a fake email, so to avoid these shit, the only email should be used is a verified one, that's to caught cheaters, ban evaders etc, maybe if it was verified, it's gonna be easy to catch them..

I personally don't know if this system can be added into the server not only on ucp or no, but this way is better.

All times are UTC
