Gonna be Neutral on this one.

If it should happen, I suggest that only people which have a certain score / time played should benefit from this chance.

The main disadvantage which this will have is, that if everyone gets a second chance then most people will abuse.
Not fair, score/playtime shouldn't reflect the fact if you should be unbanned or not, not to mention using cheats can aid score gained.

Big -1 I agree with what Raskit says As they can do something for many time , and get unbanned easily it will annoy all the server players , hackers will be ingame all the time and get unbanned , even with different accounts So I Doesn't recommend this to happen Not because of the community to be great and got much players and 3/4 of it hackers But if he is an old player got banned for something like advertising or aimbot , he wont do it again IM SURE because he will know how hard will it be to lose something he worked hours on it to get it better and enjoy his time , Only Players More than 5000 score and wont be score abusers or something like that.

I am supporting this .. we all know that any cheater won't escape being banned.. in specific conditions the player doesn't mean to cheat , a small accident will prevent him from playing in the server forever ( some players evade because they love the server ) .. i think a second chance is deserved , at least if the player didn't use that hack against anybody ( kill , rob .. etc ) .. maybe a punishment could be like a warning ( decreasing score .. etc) instead of a permenant ban

@Jed, I won't even comment your thing.

Once a cheater always a cheater, maybe you should consider your actions before going ahead with them, obviously cheating isn't allowed. If you don't have the decency to not cheat why should we have the decency to unban you?

People change every day. Especially ~12~ year olds who are a huge part of samp. I could name you ten examples of people I know around here who totally changed into better and actually grown up the phase where they think any kind of abuse including cheating is fun. I personally cheated in some games like Call of Duty when I was a stupid kid, now that I have outgrown that phase, I do wish to be unbanned from certain Call of Duty servers. And I have totally no intention of ever cheating again. As an ex administrator in a bigger WoW community in 2011, I've seen soooo many people hacking and I banned countless. Then one day I got bored of the whole thing and I tried banning them 30 days ip ban instead of permanent. I made some logs, and few months later, our community has grown and we actually had less people cheating.
What I'm trying to say that people who cheat mostly don't think of the consequences nor they care at first. In a month or some time, they realize what they had done and they're sorry meaning they wouldn't do it again. Of course there are exceptions, as in everywhere in life.

>User A creates unban app (weapon spawning)

>User B creates unban app (weapon spawning)
>Denied
>User B - "But you unbanned User A for using the same cheats!!"

A short thread which states that every cheating case may not be the same, and how more damage could had been done in certain cases covers up the whole "conspiracy" thing you mentioned. And you could always improvise with more things, such as, quality of the ban appeal, ban evading, raging after being banned...etc

Also this means that people are just gonna cheat knowing that if they make an appeal they'll be unbanned. They could just use an aimbot for instance for a couple of weeks before we latch onto it, then make an appeal knowing they'll be unbanned, what's the point?

You could always make it that "People who have been banned for cheating before, lets say, today - March 20, may appeal their ban so those who wish to abuse this sort of amnesty wouldn't be able to

This whole suggestion could be edited to correspond to many lsrcr terms and be very neutral when it comes to making decisions. I appreciate you not locking this topic right away. Let people give their vote and opinions, and I'll edit the main topic with things to improvise with

if user was banned 2-3 years ago, unban him, maybe he changed, maybe, if he do same mistake again just ban him again..

Maybe you are right, some of the cheaters won't do it again but you're risking of the situation happening again.

This game is made to have fun and cheaters never make it fun, maybe for them but not for the players around him. He gets a certain unfair advantage. You use hacks because you decide to do so,it's your choice and this choice has consequences.

I agree with Raskit overall, can't really put words better

I see the picture you're painting here but I can't help but disagree with what is being suggested. While I'm all in for giving one last chance to those that actually want to play, this will create more of a problem than solve it. We've kept cheaters at bay by keeping them banned and this just lets them back in which just means countless hours of effort by the staff team into investigating complicated matters and indulging in cat and mouse chases all over again. I'm sorry but -1.
