Imagine our relation with God just like the relation with the puppet and its owner. A puppet sees on street poisoned food and wants to eat it but his "god" doesn't let him and even slaps him once or twice. What kind of owner is he like? He is a good one.
The God has His reasons, there must be a reason of why is something happening.
If you meant puppy,as in , a small dog, then it's even less of a good analogy , because comparing the limited abilities of us(humans),who can't directly speak to dogs and we have to resort to "forcing" actions, to a omnipotent entity who can just explain to you why eating that poisoned food on the ground is bad for you, is completely off.
There is absolutely no good reason for a child to be murdered or raped, yet it happens and God allows that. And that makes me question his 'morals' and sanity.
You think that you know everything, and you know literally knowing about this world and neither I do. There are just many things that we still need to find out.
The proof of that we have limited abilities, you've just proven that. You cannot understand a simple metaphor, how something can be done positively even if we think it is a very bad thing. The little puppet story could be very easily transformed into human, when a kid wants to do take a chocolate from ground and his mother says no. For full day, kid will be like "I have the worst mummy ever".
The problem becomes when people (in this case you) are putting themselves in the same position as gods, and you think you know as much as He does. Then you'll find this metaphor lame and I cannot help you. But we both can agree that someone can do something very bad to us and then 10 years later we just realised that he helped us a lot by being that "meany guy".
I have never claimed to know everything because that's impossible, but I know enough to say with certainty that such a passive God when it comes to disasters, fits the description of a psychopath.
If I,as a mere limited human being can prevent a child from being raped or murdered then imagine what a omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent entity can do....but he chooses to be 'mysterious' and passive when it comes to it.
Do you get my point now?
