There are several periods in history in which a specific religion was prominent in the advancement of civilization. Christians in the Roman Empire, Muslims in the Islamic Golden Age, and present day development imho is being spearheaded by the atheists. Jewish people people though... hah.

Well, every modern discovery was made by, mostly christians. and some jews in europe and america around 1850s to 1960s. Everything after that is mostly improvements of previous accomplishments. Atheists are vastly outnumbered in scientific advancement. If anything, Atheists brought us the SJW era which normalizes pedophillia and shit. Atheists like to make TED talks and take credit for alot on their youtube channels. But in reality they don't do much. They are mostly science presenters. Like neil deretard tyson or carl fagan.
