How much does it cost? because IMO, you should go for one of the newer GPUs, like the 1060 / AMD counterparts for example.
960 4GB is just fine to run the high end games in 1080p
I don't think it'd make that much of a difference except in games that take advantage of that, like for example, GTAV. I'd still say go for the 1060 / 970, if you could.

If you decide to do it thou, DON'T go with the 3GB version of the 1060, the RX 470 provides better performance for about $199.

1060 prices (aria)

970 prices (aria, again).

I'm thinking of going with the 970 instead as I don't see the point in the 1080 now, Can always upgrade in a couple years - Still the 970 is a big upgrade from what I've got now.

It's definitely a good GPU and would still stay with you for a couple more years. The 960 on the other hand I just see it a bad move, considering it's 2GB, and the 4GB doesn't make that much of a difference like I said. It's basically like going with a 3GB version of a 1060, while there are other cards that out-perform it.

1080 is good and all, but I still feel like the 1070 is just the best option, unless you're going to play a lot on 4K.

Have fun with the 970 if you get it!

Very good choice, DId you get the 2GB or 4GB Version? Also Im getting a PC with that GPU Aswell, Wise choice. Obv depending how much you were willing to spend, If you had strictly just the right amount to buy the 960 then its fine, If you have a way of earning money whether its a Trapstar, Normal job or anything else xD then I would have just saved up for a 1070. Also depending on your CPU.

But otherwise, the GTX 960 is excellent.

My budget was pretty high, but I can play all games I like on decent graphics with the 2gb version and i'm very happy with it.
If I want I can always purchase a new videocard when I don't like this one anymore or when I purchase a whole new custom pc.
For now this is more then enough.
