m8, orange wanteds havent committed heavy crimes, meaning they should be arrested. Killing an orange is like a police officer irl killing someone for mugging someone - it's murder. i'm glad the penalty has been added, now cops are actual cops and not CopArmy.

as for the suggestion, i'll give it a proper read then vote

After reading the suggestion and Rally3's comments, I'll have to agree with him and go negative - Rally has explained it all very well and there's nothing else I could add that he hasn't already.

While it might be annoying to chase a Orange Wanted in a helicopter, as a regular police officer; you might not be able do anything since (as a police officer) your job is to arrest them, so it might be best to leave it to a better equipped team (Swat/Army).

Let's not forget (as Rally mentioned) this is a Cops and Robbers server, not TDM - so we should think of suggestions like these as "would cops actually kill someone for stealing a government vehicle?" - the answer would be no, they would be arrested as soon as they were caught.
I agree but the thing is such an update is introduced soo late that the existing players already have benifited by killing oranges and gained some easy score as the update is introduced now the new players will find it difficult who are used to shooting
1. Better late than never.
2. New players will realize and get used to it, as will everyone

If the cops are able to kill any criminals, what's the point of army?
Same applys to swat if cops are able to arrest all what is swat for

Swat has a whole different playstyle, if you haven't noticed. Special Weapons And Tactics - the explanation is literally in the name. But okay.

I believe some players above have already explained why this was added and why it makes 'sense' for cops to try to arrest instead of kill orange suspects only who haven't posed any threat at all. Why would a cop decide to kill a criminal that is complying considering they haven't commited any major crimes? That's exactly what CnR is. Killing on the spot isn't the way to go. A cop's job is to arrest criminals, kill only if they are not complying/are a threat to their lives.

Commenting on the initial suggestion itself, if we had to compare it with real life (because I saw some comments like that) then we would have to leave it as is. In real life a cop wouldn't shoot or at least kill someone who has stolen a police vehicle, however it's best not to make such comparisons to begin with. What we could possibly do is increase a bit the range of /pu, however is it that short right now?

I will leave this up for discussion in case someone wants to make any points however I don't think any changes will be made for now or at all regarding the cop penalty.

I completely understand and think it was a good thing to implement a ticket for cops killing oranges, but that was not my seggestion, i think the subject has gotten abit far off topic. My suggestion was to make Cops allowed to open fire against Orange players who has hijacked/stolen an LEO Helicopter, Car or Bike. Besides that i think it is only right to give an LEO a ticket for randomly killing an Orange wanted.

As was stated above, the fine happens only when an orange (low) wanted player doesn't attack law enforcement and is just "defenselessly running away". So let's look at the scenario you're asking for again.

A. Cop chases criminal after a fight/having shot LEO's, criminal gets in a LEO vehicle
i) Bike? Can chase and/or shoot with fellow teammates, then arrest/kill as necessary
ii) Car? Can chase and/or shoot with fellow teammates, then arrest/kill as necessary
iii) Heli? Can take another heli/airplane and chase, let armies handle it, or handle other criminals and wait until they land of the heli and go on ground to chase/kill/ar them then.

B. Cop chases criminal without fighting/having shot LEO's, criminal gets in a LEO vehicle

In addition to this, if you were robbed/raped, you can place a /hit on the player which is perfectly allowed. Thus, there's multiple ways of handling the situation that encourage Cops and Robbers gameplay, like we've been trying to say before.

So as you see, your request doesn't make sense. Hopefully you can see that now, tried to make it as clear as possible

Don't think deadly force on leo vehicle's is the answer to this problem (Except for Helicopters). The range on /pu on the other hand I do find short. It would solve this problem for the most part to double the range just as Robin suggested. Sometimes it's unknown if the orange player has shot a cop already so that he can be killed without the cop getting fined maybe a slightly darker shade of orange or lighter shade. To be able to tell without hesitation. If deadly force can be used. It would also help so that Leo's don't use /pu unnecessarily. Positive for wanteds in leo helicopters to be able to get killed without /pu also for these other suggestions.

Do you guys think increasing /pu range can do? Is there something else you have in mind?

We have increased /pu range a bit, by around 30%. It will be pushed soon.
