I disagree with this too. It would basically make the top score for mechanics insurmountable because the skill itself would be changed drastically.

The same can be said for cops. Cops will also have to rely on typing up 3 or more commands quickly - /taze, /inject and then /request mechanic if implemented (using the same examples you provided). So I genuinely do not see any sense in your argument besides you simply not wanting for things to be more balanced in this game.

This WILL benefit both cops and criminals equally and as Immo said bring about a perfect amount of balance.
Cops do barely have the mechanic with them. Whenever their car gets blown, they just exit and change the vehicle...

Criminals are able to do the same...

I'm majorly talking about Car Mechanic Cop Hunt, which is mostly lead by the team of mechanics.

For e.g: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jiSu8H7aC4

I support this suggestion if there will be no cool down between /requesting for mechanic. It won't boost score-boosting cases either as there's a cool down between /fix, /puthydraulics & /putnitro.

I have skimmed-read some of the replies here, so excuse me if I am suggesting something that has been said already.

What about forcing /request mechanic <id>, however said mechanic will be able to fix your car as many times after using the CMD (without having to keep requesting), unless they die.

So if one wants to cophunt and needs 3 mechanics, he will /request mechanic <their IDs> and they will be able to fix his vehicle. He won't have to type the command again.

I am skeptical myself though, since it might have a big impact on the skill itself as already mentioned. More ideas would be helpful.

What if I just want nitro added on my car and I don't know who is mechanic? -1
Either add what I suggested or don't change anything

You would still be able to use /request mechanic. But after adding nitro to your vehicle once you would have to request again. Two commands, one /request mechanic, the other /request mechanic <id> or something similar.

What if someone has a fairly broken car, has the money to pay you but does not want it fixed?

I don't think it's an issue as it stands though so no worries. I guess making it impossible to fix vehicles when the other party has no cash could work. Are you all fine with it? Any objections?

to me this looks just like complicating something that's already fine. don't fix it if it's not broken
