I remain neutral only because, how do you know that God or Allah isn't sending these people your way to test your faith or make you a stronger person?


However bashing someone's religion purposely could be counted as a heavy insult because to some, they see him as a "Heavenly Father"

So in a way trashing Allah or God is equal to a bash towards someone's mother.

Summery -1 could be a test or an event to strengthen and +1 to some it can be a heavy insult. Which as stated above leaves me at neutral.

You're talking about a game that itself, is a big "fuck you" to censorship like that, GTA, the series have always been pushing the edge and boundaries about things like that. I mean, you're talking about a game with racism, violence, etc, it's satire, it's joking around, in itself the game, probably at one point made a joke against muslims, they definitely have made plenty jokes against Christians, Jews, etc. It's literally just a part of Rockstar and the ideal they push that free speech is important.

I mean, you yourself literally run a base and group with the name "Terrorists". After what happened in France, Brussels, no one is running to make a suggestion to remove or force you to change your bases name and I'm sure you'd be the first to protest about changing the name of it listing some of the same reasons I'm listed.

You're saying we should ban speech because what, it's an 18+ game? I think, in life, you should reach a certain level of maturity past 18 where you just understand to brush it off. You're playing a game where the creators in their minds offend everyone pushing the idea that censorship isn't the greatest thing in the world, you play the game they made, Rockstar, who would very much disagree with the idea of straight out punishing and censoring stuff like that. I get that it's something touchy in your society and social structure, where you live and in the community you're around, but not everyone is in that community and not everyone should have to live by their rules. There's probably plenty of stuff you joke about, make fun of that can definitely be constructed as offensive, the terrorists being one of them.

You're saying it's an 18+ game, and for that reason especially I really agree that we shouldn't have to babysit and censor the words coming out of everyones mouth. IF someone wants to make a joke that might offend someone else, it should be in their right to make that joke as long as it isn't them being serious, or repeating the same offensive lines over, and over.

So overall, there's my reason for the -1. I really think catering and censoring that much in a GTA game is extremely ironic.

This is online gaming server, which means real person play this game, If a living person insults our religion and God live that's one thing and there's one more thing which is scripted in the game. There's a difference between online gaming and single player gaming.

Yes, I run base with that name. If there are victims of Terrorists there there are also the victims of Armies. There are a lot of victims who's family were killed during a war by an army, there can be a family who's women were raped by army, there can be people who suffered badly during any army operation, so does that mean we should change the name of the Army to something else? If you're looking then look it through both ways. Now don't take it as if I'm against army, what i'm trying to make you understand is something else which i did above. We can take almost everything as offensive but somethings can't be bared which includes religion and God.

I'm not expecting everyone to live by the rules of our society, what I want is that either they shouldn't offend us with such comments or If i would say anything about people's family, religion, race etc then they shouldn't cry for it and call it offensive or insult because it's the internet right? It should be tit for tat. It's 18+ game right? Then they should ignore me when I will such things. There should be a equilibrium, a balance. Rules should be followed and the punishment should be same for everyone who breaches the rule.

I never mentioned it was too funny for me too. I get it, I actually dated someone who followed your religion very serious and closely, was for a good amount of time, actually, the main reason she ended up leaving me was for religious reasons, felt really bad about breaking the rules and guidelines and despite how close I was with her, I understood and realized that it was just a part of how things were for her, I mean I did feel kind of angry at first, but got over it fairly fast. People do have their beliefs, and it influences their lives to end up doing things. You can't get horribly angry over it.

Anyways, now why does that matter? Well, because I get it, and just because I'm in support of the ability to say jokes, and make offhand comments doesn't mean I don't understand it. I just think that Ls-rcr has always been a community, especially since it's early days that didn't censor much of anything, and it benefited the community in quite a lot of ways, but there are plenty, plenty and a lot of things that can offend just about anyone. Hell half the shit scripted into the game, and now I get it, you're saying difference between singleplayer and multiplayer, but the actual scripting, Radiostations, building designs, are all offensive to quite a lot of people but you don't see anyone asking in suggestions to go ahead and cover those up. I think banning, or getting people in trouble for what, making an offensive joke, or offhand comment about a religion is a slippery slope into a whole, whole, whole lot of other censorship on what people have to say, and for what point? It ruins the experience of others to be ever fearful of having a joke or a comment get them in trouble when they're trying to enjoy themselves, you can straight out mute other players, ingame, ignore them, and at points don't have to even look at global chat. There's lots of ways to avoid it and I think straight out censoring it is a step in the wrong direction.

You bring up the army, as a retaliation to terrorists, and yeah, while the army does a lot of offensive stuff, the difference is, and the same reason you're defending army, defending the name of terrorists is why I'm saying people should have the right to make jokes about stuff like that, even if it offends you. You mentioned rape, as something people in the Army can do, people who suffer badly through operations. Well that right there is a good example, Rape. We have a class in our game called rapist, it literally makes fun of raping, rape victims, etc, etc. People go around raping as a joke on the server, and I'm pretty sure plenty of you people in this same thread saying +1 to this suggestion have went around raping and making a joke about raping ingame, or rape in general in global chat. Rape is a fairly serious issue, and joking around about it, making fun of it, can offend quite a lot of people, and actually it can trigger bad and horrid memories for so much more. Yet that's a huge part of the server, deeply ingrained into LSRCR, and yes, it's quite offensive, but you're talking about a balance, equilibrium, and punishment, but you're even making the suggestion now because the rule doesn't exist fully, there's a difference between flaming, and direct hatred directed towards a religion then an offhand joke about a god, or the religion itself, or a comment then direct, hate posting, direct messages looking to seek out angry replies in an attempt to piss people off and get them riled up, and so going back to the original part in this paragraph, Rape. The Rapist skill class will never be removed, in the end people will be joking about beating another player to death after fucking them and giving them an STD for the prolonged future, regardless of how triggering and horrid of a thing it is to joke about, how serious of an issue it is to quite a lot of people, and how it can trigger horrific events to people, To quite a lot of people, and especially victims, and anyone effected by rape it's something that can't be bared to be joked about yet it'll always be a part of Ls-rcr and the game.

Anyways, the whole point of that is, to say that why, why should be ban jokes about it? When there is so much more, horrible and horrendous things that in essence, is a part of things. It's outright silly to ban one thing that offends people, for what reason? Because it offends you personally and a group of people? If it's something like that, there's plenty of stuff in Ls-rcr, the rapist class for example, that could offend a whole lot of people, the terrorist name on the base could be found offensive, but in the end people don't complain about it because they understand that sometimes you just need a thick skin, and when you take a look around you, the server you're on has a lot of offensive, mature content, if we start banning for what some people, and only some people find offensive, then soon enough nobody will even be able to speak on ls-rcr without getting a punishment.

Ls-rcr was never meant to be some hugbox, some place where people who get their feelings easily hurt by the words of others come and play, and there's a lot of evidence that shows. Obviously there's being kind and curtious, but if someone is personally making jokes, and offensive comments about your religion to you, that's a little bit different then someone making a joke in global chat directed towards everyone and meant to be funny. You said it yourself, people can take almost everything to be offensive, but the difference is, you think, and its in your brain that religious jokes can't be bared, while in my head I could bare them quite easy, other religious people on this server could probably bare religious jokes fairly easily, but the truth of the matter is, some things don't need to get censored, and if someones making a joke that isn't directed towards you, and isn't personally trying to bait you into saying something by personally targetting you and saying shit to you about your religion then it's just banter all in fun. I mean I'm fairly certain a rape victim wouldn't find the rape class, and rape jokes that have been a staple of Ls-rcr since before you joined, since before I joined in 2010, funny, and quite tramatic actually depending, but that doesn't mean we should remove those and censor any of those jokes either. It's just a part of things.

So my opinion stands, and will most likely stand, your only argument in favor of it is that you, and some others don't like or can't bare people making satire or jokes about your religion, but most everything can be offensive, and everyone finds something that they can't bare people making jokes about, and it's all different and if we start punishing for that, it's hypocritical to all the other stuff in Ls-rcr thats offensive we don't punish for, and only serves to make everyone else fearful of what they can say and joke about on a server that has probably one of the most relaxed atmospheres in all of samp. It's a slippery slope. and It'd make ls-rcr much worse if implemented.

Okay seriously, I laughed while I saw this topic, and I laughed when I saw that I was reported to Seniors for being "racist" towards people.

First of all, this is the world we're living in. You can't go anywhere without people disrespecting a religion, and it makes me mad than you think a online community is better. I know there are supposed to be no racism here, but WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO IGNORE PEOPLE?!?!? This community are becoming more toxic than the League of Legends community (LoL players will know).

I'm tired of you people reporting someone disrespecting your religion and you're literally sitting infront of your computer and starting to cry. You're arent better yourself! Half of you people reporting players doesnt use your brain. There's been scripted a command into the server. Let me show you how it works: First you press T, then you type /ignore ID and boom, you can't see what the player writes anymore and you can enjoy the game perfectly again. But what did I expect? Half of the server doesnt use their brains and immediately starts to argue with the person.

Once this server was filled up with legacy players that doesnt gave a shit about people insultning their religions - now it's filled up with 10-12 year old kids that cry everytime someone says something they don't like. They're reporting them and start's crying. I hate it. When I joined the server back in 2010 people were awesome. Now they're butthurt people that crys about everything.

No, I wont ever take action towards a player insultning a religion. Yes, I will take action when a player insults you or your family.
