If you believe in god and also that he created the earth then it’s the study of how god created the earth and somewhat of our galaxy, it would not be too far off to do research about science in a religion topic since it’s the study on how the earth operates and also a little on how it was created by the creator. though the part most argue about is if science can prove or disprove his existence, the study of extraterrestrial and religious beings would be outside of the boundaries of science since it is supposedly both not on earth and outside of our galaxy and on a different plain of existence but can affect our existence in ways we won’t see until after the fact or until they cross that boundary and make themselves known to this version of existence, most of science is also nothing more then theories based on research within its realm of understanding, so it can be closely tied into religion if the evidence they use is related and in most ways it is since the earth had to be created by something or someone which we do not have the tools let alone the mindset to do any serious research on it that’ll give confirmational evidence, and it’s a bunch of speculations based on small fragments of the past to work with, so it doesn’t always yield the same results for each person hence different opinions and observations are givin for the same data fragments or research material. so to answer your question yes it is related.

but tbh imo the reason geri posted it here is that he expected more serious answers in this subsection than if he were to post it in the bar

Actually not that much effort was put into the reply, it was one of those unfiltered late night explanations while being tired as fuck and posted with an answer that is correct to the topic and an answer to the question kind of thing, thing is if you’ve done open minded research you really don’t need to use much effort in what you speak or type, it may look like a lot of words but it is how the mind works sometimes.
