Simply,they have belly buttons because the artist who painted that took 2 people as his model of that picture.
So the artist draw and pained what he saw (including their belly buttons),and in that case he didn't really see Adam and Eve,just 2 random people staying as a model for his art.

And ye i am a believer,but i don't think that EVERYTHING in the Holly Bible/Qur'an or any other religion book is true,some things are added.
And once again THERE IS NO PROOF THAT PROOFS GODS EXISTENCE OR DISPROVES IT.But i still believe that he exists
