I think removing it removed a core part of what Ls-rcr is: a community.

I've always felt that removing the tag wasn't necessary in the first place. It's something that has been a part of LSRCR since the early years and hasn’t caused much harm. In my eyes, it's always nice to reward good community members with some form of ownership in the community, and it gives players something more to grind towards.
For those who claim that tagged players get 'princess treatment,' I personally think the same applies to army and SWAT members. They also get treated nicely, which helps them with things like faction applications. In fact, the same goes for active group members too.

It felt like people wanting to become part of a 'cool club'. Over the years it drifted apart from its core meaning. And I think it's very difficult to bring its value back. I actually raised this with the seniors a few times over the past year and even though I personally thought it might be a good idea and used some of the arguments here, the more we talked about, the more I realized the other seniors are correctAltho I do agree that the tag lost its value because everyone had it, since staff had to accept applications from players who kept applying, often out of pity as you mentioned, it still helped keep them in line on the server. Yeah, it felt like being part of the 'cool club', but losing it felt even worse suddenly, those few letters were gone and you'd feel ashamed for letting the community down. Everyone could see it so that pressure kept tagged members straight. There were fewer rulebreakers and exploiters because they knew one wrong move could cost them everything. So basically, the tag had more pros than cons if you look at it from a different perspective. Yes, it did create a division, but if it’s reintroduced, the requirements and process could be even stricter so that kind of divide doesn’t happen again
If we decide to bring back the tag it will either become even more elitist than it once was, which would mean higher standards and requirements / picking process, or it could become the opposite, a completely worthless few letter symbol behind your name that everyone in the server gets. We were criticized for this in the past. We would reject players over and over again, but eventually admins would feel sorry for a specific player and accept their application. Or you would have players messaging admins and seniors why they were rejected, have them write leaving topics after being frustrated for their rejection and so on
On the surface it may look like it is a good idea as it could promote people to work for something, and it feels rewarding, but in reality it's a flawed concept that faded away throughout the years

We also do not deny that many reports and complaints were filed against tagged members who were irresponsible and haven't respected the trust they were given , maybe just started doing trifles and rulebreaks just because they realized that it's no longer something of a value and they adapted it as just letters added to their usernames they no longer care about how it was given to them , forgetting the reponsibilities they were bound to.
So as a conclusion , maybe the tag deserves another chance to be re-introduced with more stricter conditions that must a player meet to avoid losing the tag's value and what happened happens again and also re-introduce it as a hard work reward that contains lots of patience and high player's determination.
