If god is all-knowing, why does he need to test us?

Because when you be in Allah's hands hey will say you did wrong things and you will be wishing to say that you didn't , so that he put us in a test. Also you won't be able to talk when you be there. If he didn't put us in a test and some went to the hell and others to the paradise you will say ' I am oppressed '. No one is wronged and there are choices before him. Everything is written by Allah.
I said what I know about this.

You just said there are choices before him and then you said everything is written. If everything is supposedly written then why do we talk about free will? Because the concept of destiny which religious people have come up with contradicts the concept of free will.

Furthermore, since God is mercy of the mercy then do you find it reasonable that THE MOST MERCIFUL will torture you infinitely for your finite sins?

As I said yes 'Everything is written by Allah' but there are choices ( I mean by that ' That you can change the wrong thing that you did and 'Allah forgiving merciful. You can ask forgiveness after doing something bad or I mean so if you do something haram you can ask forgiveness and repentance and do not do this again until the repentance is sincere. In the life of the world you have choices by doing right and wrong and does not do anything wrong except he knows the right from him, but in some big things that need a general explanation and so ...

I translated from Arabic to English because there are some words are not known by me.. Also I am saying what I know about this things.

There are things that only God knows, but I think that God forgives those who want (who does mistakes and forgive his good will and intention not to do the same error again). That looks like that you've a son, everyday you find that he made a mistake as he argued with someone or had an adultery with a girl, What will you do ? You've to do? I can answer you. ''Discipline or hold him accountable for his actions''. That looks like what Allah is doing with us after that test. If you failed you will be in hell and If you passed you will be in paradise, but also no one know the future except Allah. You can watch Zakir Naik on youtube too. He answered too many questions like this by clear, explained and easy way to understand.

I honestly advise you never ever suggest Zakir Naik to anyone unless you want to make a joke of Islam. I'm a believer and used to watch Zakir Naik and other so-called scholars until I realized they are nothing but more like a joker. Zakir Naik doesn't bring any logical argument to any modern issues coming up related to religion.

Furthermore, I think you didn't get my question. Since you gave the example of son being guilty let me use that one to explain my question. If suppose my son commits a horrible crime or anything then indeed I will hold him accountable for his actions but then again I wouldn't think of tormenting him for eternity. But let's say he does something so horrible that he deserves to be tormented eternally for the sake of argument.

How about tormenting someone who does good work and thinks of humanity first. Would he be punished eternally for not believing? Or perhaps his rational reasoning doesn't lead him to God and he stays neutral or doesn't believe but is always doing good work and helping others. Would he be tormented for eternity too?
