Fine system rework

Your name: [Lsrcr]Luka
Suggestion headline: Fine system rework, details below
Picture: /
Importance of suggestion: 4/10 (Shows how much it would mean to server/players)
Why should it be accepted: So currently fine system works really purely in my opinion, I've seen many cases where players attempt to rob/rape an LEO and they instantly fine after each attempt, which seems kinda ridiculous.

I think it should work like this: when an LEO executes the /fine command, it should ask the players whether they want to pay the fine or refuse it, if refused their wanted level will automatically escalate to orange regardless of their yellow wanted level.

I think it still could use some feedback, let me know what do you guys think.

I like your idea, but what if they don't respond, what will we do then?
Also, if this gets implemented there should be a cooldown to not get abused.

About the first part yeah I agree. Maybe there should be a countdown, 5 seconds or so and if they still fail to respond then their wanted level should be increased to 4+.

About the second part, what do you mean abuse? Could you elaborate more?

I mean in case the players leave while they are already asked to pay the fine then they must be auto-jailed or auto-fined (which takes the fine from the player's bank account).

I don't really think that wil be good, the current one is way too better than the suggested system, i have an example that if you ask a player and he gets away from you somehow/get rid of you and refuses to pay fine, so there would be no purpose left. When there's no officer nearby... The player who is executed can easily escape from the situation.
Negative for this suggestion, -1
That's clearly not going to work...

I really like the idea of implementing this system.

When a cop asks someone whether he wants to pay the ticket or not, a tab would pop up and you'd have two options normally, Yes or No. Player won't be able to move his car so there are no chances he escapes. 30 seconds to answer and if you fail to answer within 30 seconds it means you've refused to.

A tab like this just saying " Do you want to pay your ticket...."

The only problem is what if the player quits?

Basically you force players to either pay the fine or get wanted once /fine is used upon them (they'd have to choose which one). I assume this will only work when the player has between 1-3 wanted level (yellow) right?

Sorry but I don't understand your point, so basically you are concerned about player getting away from being asked to pay the fine?

Also, the current system is way too easy and effortless, it's just a spam of command to get free cash. I believe this suggestion will bring more RP situations since the server has moved a lot towards RP after the V9, that's why I think ideas like this should be suggested more often.

It can work as the Pagati escort command. You choose one over the other (a dialog box). If you press "Pay fine", you pay the fine and that's it, dialog closes, money taken. If you choose the "Don't pay fine", dialog box closes, you get wanted (level 4) regardless of your previous wanted level.

LEOs cannot abuse this if they only have the authority to /fine wanted players between 1-3 (yellow).

In case the user quits the game, an auto-fine can be paid off I guess.

You will also have to remove /rp command as it will be useless
