Adding a Speedometer and automated overspeeding tickets.

Your name: [Lsrcr]Toast
Suggestion headline: Adding the speedometer and automated overspeeding tickets.
Picture: Keep the picture in this
Spoiler: show
Importance of suggestion: 7/10

I remember back in the days we used to have a speedometer aswell with the /speedlimit command if I'm not wrong. It was pretty useful for keeping track of your speed and all. To make it more interesting, we could also add automated speeding tickets to those who overspeed. The overspeeding tickets will be generated by the server if a player goes over the speedlimit at a certain area, for example the speed at Highway could be 120km/h and the speed near Pershing could be 50-60Km/h considering that it's a populated area. It could help bring some of the RP factor back to the server in some way since RP isn't dead anymore in my opinion.

Edit: Speeding tickets shall not apply to Factions or LEOS working for the government, also, we go through high speed chases all of the time so that would be unfair to the criminals aswell so let's say the criminals arrest/death clears off their speeding tickets.

Kindly leave your feedback on this, it's always good to know what others think about it!

Infernus maximum speed is 240 km/h, if your suggestion gets implemented we would be getting tickets non-stop. This is more for fully rp servers, LSRCR is light rp server. Also, why not add automatic tickets for going over red light then? -1

Speed cameras aren't all over the map. There are certain places where they are installed, taking that into consideration, you won't be getting speeding tickets all the time.

If this were implemented it’s basically banning me :(

OT: it’s something that fits a more RP server, as said before

Won't fit here, in this community due to the fact that this server is slightly roleplayish.

Negative.

I tend to agree with the rest - even though that would be a great roleplay feature, Lsrcr is mainly focused on CnR gameplay while having some very light RP aspects. Players are constantly trying to escape/chasing others and that would lead to huge money loss and whatnot, which would be inevitable too.

How about we design this specifically for /rpmode then? I believe that RP has become a part of Lsrcr again so it could be a nice improvement.

Regarding the chases and escapes, I made an edit to the original post mentioning that wanteds shall not have speeding tickets imposed, their arrest/death could automatically pay them off :D

It would be great if players who roleplay often have a say on this, however I still believe it's a bit overkill for Lsrcr. Pagati members for example are also hitmen and they often have to chase people. That will lead to many tickets being issued.

Let's see what the rest have to say.

Speedometer sounds useful for roleplay, however, I think the speeding tickets would be a bit too much.

My thoughts on this are exactly the same. It would however be nice to have the speedlimit feature back as it was a great way for those interested in actual RP to control their speed when driving.
