Suggestion headline: Punching counting as self defense
Picture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR_nRHtDtSM
Importance of suggestion: 10
Why should it be accepted: Please make a change where punching counts as self defense when someone criminally assaults you (rob/rape/kidnap) because I find it unreasonable how someone may damage you with fists, and you are unable to fight back. Thank you very much.

Actually, it's force vs force. If they're only punching, you can punch back and damage them. If they shoot, then you can shoot too. In fact, you can punch anyone at any time and do damage, and it's not against the rules unless it's done repeatedly with the purpose of bitching.

Yes, I know that and understand how the punching system works, but wouldn't it be logical that if someone for example rapes your character and you decide to punch them (damage the rapist), which is considered as self defense, that it lets the other player use and cause damage in return with any weapon, as if you damaged them with a weapon?

I find that to be the most reasonable because you can either assault the player or not assault, and punching someone is assaulting, no matter that it is no weapon.

I don't suggest that this should apply to players who randomly start punching each other for no reason, because random deathmatch is obviously forbidden, but only in self defense when someone criminally assaults you. Just clearing this out in case you misunderstood.

No, because there is a tactical advantage in going fist only.

And melee DM is allowed at any time for any reason, it's not against the rules
