Why should it be accepted: Its to easy to escape as victim of a kidnapper and therefor doesnt feel balanced (risk/reward) for a kidnapper.

+1, and I would suggest further more:

1. Kidnapper can set any amount with /setransom <cash>
2. Maximum /ransom limit 100 000$
3. 20 minutes of maximum kidnapped time.

This gives the kidnapper time to /rob /rape and have other ways of fun with the victim when there is no ransom provided
