Adding new rules.

Your name: [Lsrcr]TuPac
Suggestion headline: Adding New Rule (FPS LIMIT 20)
Picture: Keep the picture in this
Spoiler: show
Importance of suggestion: 10/10
Why should it be accepted: Hello everyone,
As we all know, this is an important topic. Using /fpslimit 20 in the water to gain an advantage while chasing or escaping as a cop or criminal should not be allowed . Lowering your FPS makes your character move faster in certain situations, which essentially means exploiting a game bug to gain an unfair advantage.

For example, using commands such as /lay or /fall after jumping from a high roof to avoid death is not allowed. Similarly, abusing commands to avoid being cuffed, hiding inside objects, or exploiting map bugs to escape from the police is also prohibited.

In my opinion, the same logic should apply to /fpslimit 20. It is being used to exploit a game mechanic and gain an advantage while chasing or escaping from other players.

To be honest, I personally only use it when swimming long distances, such as reaching my boat or getting to the beach faster. I do not use it during chases or escapes because I feel it is unfair, especially when the other player may not even know about this trick. However, I see many players using it specifically to gain an advantage during pursuits.

That is why I believe it should be considered an exploit and be added to the server rules. I hope the server staff will take this point into consideration and discuss whether it should be officially prohibited.

Thank you for reading.

Best Wishes: [Lsrcr]TuPac

I think this is very tricky to enforce, especially for people running low-end PCs.
/fpslimit is a native SAMP command, not sure if it can be disabled server-side.
You also want to restrict people from using 2-shot as they did before? (wasn't successful)
You also want to stop allowing the spacebar spam to run faster?

IMO just something that's part of the game, swimming away doesn't give you a big advantage as you can be easily sniped or chased by a boat..

There is a difference between using 2-shot sawnoff and switching weapons, and abusing commands or game bugs to gain an advantage over others. Especially since many players don't even know about these commands, which makes it unfair.

Also, as I said before, this is a game bug. It's not like spamming the spacebar to move faster. Almost everyone knows about space spamming, and I don't see anything wrong with it. It's a normal mechanic that players naturally discover, even if they weren't specifically taught about it.

Another thing: if weapon switching is accepted, then by the same logic C-bug should be allowed too. I don't understand why switching weapons is considered acceptable while C-bug was removed from the server. That seems inconsistent.

Listen, I think everyone knows that I'm not a good in duel anymore. I've lost most of my dueling skills over the years. Sometimes I can't even drop enemy armor before I die in a duel. So why would I support something just because I can or can't do it?

I shouldn't be biased toward something simply because I'm unable to use it. If I did that, I'd be depriving other players of something they enjoy. Almost everyone has fun with duels except me, but that doesn't mean I should ask for their mechanics to be removed just because they're based on a game bug.

No, I shouldn't do that. That would be unfair and selfish. Forcing something on people because of personal bias isn't right. Even if I owned the server, I wouldn't make decisions that way.

We're trying to make the server better and fairer for everyone. I hope you understand the point I'm trying to make here.

I don't want to remove the command..
simply making rule to make abusing it in water red line.

It’s kinda hard to enforce a rule against that. I use auto fast swim speed too (from an FPS fix or whatever), so you might as well just download a fix instead.
