'If god was murdered on the cross, the cross really shouldnt please us. I mean would you be wearing an ax if it was used to chop your mother into pieces ?'

The cross itself, as a common event in the ancient Roman world was indeed cruel. It was a symbol of disgust, fear, suffering, and contempt. But Christianity is a symbol of life and freedom, it represents the death of Christ. With this we do not deny the cruelty with which it was executed, but we affirm the result obtained by his death.

So Christianity does not have the cross as an instrument of torture and death, but of life and freedom, because through Christ's death, all were blessed with the life and liberty of Jesus. It is in this sense that we have the cross as a representation of Christianity.

You should know that Christians are not only Catholics, there are many religions who believe in Jesus as the messiah, before making comments at least try to inform not to embarrass. The Catholic Church was established by Jesus, the messiah has created such a religion then we can say that there's nothing wrong at least to my view and many people with higher intelligence than yours.

Ps: Before you say something, try to inform about the fact because if you do not it will end up looking like a jerk.
