Guidelines - Dueling.

Heyo.
Seeing as how I'm really, really bored, I've decided to write this guide.
Enjoy.

Image
1. Basics
2. Tips&Hints
3. Common Mistakes

If you're interested in the basics of dueling, go to point nº one.
However, if you're already an experienced duelist and want to learn some tips&hints, go to point nº two.
Lastly, if you think you aren't that good at dueling and want to fix your mistakes, go to point nº three.
Image
Alright, let's go over the basics, shall we?
Firstly, can you 2-shot properly?
Spoiler: show
To 2-shot properly, you can use the mouse wheel or the 'q' and 'e' keys, depending on how you have your game set-up.
You fire your sawned off weapon and then quickly switch to a deagle/mp5 using your mousewheel/q&e keys to prevent the reload time.
Yes, it is a bug and, yes, it is allowed.

Alright, you can 2-shot now.
But can you run properly in a duel?
Spoiler: show
Running in circles will get you killed pretty fast as your opponent will only need to fire at a certain spot to hit you over and over again.
Don't ever become predictable as people will figure your running patterns out.
Always improvise.

Image
Alright, so you're an experienced duelist but you still feel like you could learn more.
1. Use /helmon.
While I cannot explain it, using /helmon during duels will help you get hit less times than you would if you had used /helmoff.
2. Shoot for the legs. (alberto)
I haven't tested this myself, but alberto says that shooting the legs will deal more damage than if you aim for the torso. (TBT)
3. Watch your opponent.
While it's pretty basic knowledge, you're supposed to aim+shoot whenever your opponent is switching weapons.
They'll be too occupied switching weapons to realize you're shooting them and they won't be able to dodge the bullets.

4. Improvise.
As I said before, you shouldn't ever use the same running patterns twice in a row.
Improvise and run in different patterns each duel.

Image
Alright, so you think you aren't that good and you want to fix your mistakes.
1. Don't rage.
Raging will give your opponent a bad image of yourself and he, most likely, won't want to duel you again.
If you lose, try to focus.
You'll win other duels.

2. Being predictable.
I cannot stress this enough, always improvise.
Improvising will help you win a lot more duels than you would if you use the same tactic over and over again.

3. /q'ing before death.
Don't do this.
Just don't.

4. Be humble in victory and graceful in defeat.
Don't gloat and embarass your opponent just because you won a duel.
Don't insult your opponent when you lose either.
Always say 'Good fight' after a duel.

So, yeah. That's pretty much it. I'll be updating this guide regularly or whenever I can.
I don't want any wars on the comments. Be mature, for once.
