Hm, I honestly couldn't tell you what's wrong beside a driver issue or the sound card died, but looking at what you wrote it doesn't seem like any of them.

I'm probably a little late but maybe the speakers are busted, try taking them out and re-wiring them to a radio and if they don't produce sound then they're music and sound days are done.
