After seeing this, I'm never using any Microsoft products again. Unless I'm strictly forced to.

Basically, Microsoft has made a deal with Lenovo where you cannot install Linux on specific series of laptops by making the laptop's drive invisible in Linux setup. This is typical for Microsoft, they've been doing such things for decades, eg. they slowed the development of the Internet with Internet Explorer, which was the most popular browser at the time while being the most incompatible with the contemporary standards. Instead of portable OpenGL, they forced the industry to use DirectX which works only on their platform. Of course, they didn't support other operating systems. They forced ALL the schools in the world to use their products, which is why Windows and MS Office are now considered as "computer literacy". Of course, they profit a lot from these products. Currently, in 2016, despite all this, Linux still won in absolutely all areas except desktop. This incident is just another step for Microsoft to get rid of Linux with these business deals with the hardware industry (Lenovo). These kind of practices are illegal, and this is not the first nor the last time Microsoft has done this - Microsoft was judged many times for this in the history. Only because of these incidents, other corporations and independent engineers (which are real heroes that often work for free) reverse engineer hardware and write drivers for Linux. This way they lose tremendous amounts of time, effort and money, and all this for nothing - just because Microsoft intentionally puts them in such position.

Peace out.
