How to Roleplay
Guide

Many people often ask, What is Roleplay? How to Roleplay?
_____________________________________________________________

1.1 So what is Role-play ?

Role-Play basically is basically acting. As a player of a Role-Playing server, you need to act as if you was the character in real life.

In all fact, this is not difficult at all as you all live normal lives, just take what you do in your normal life and altar to your characters life style.

2.1 What's In-Character & Out-of-Character and its differences?

Well, In Character (IC) means all the things you do as your character that you developed.
Because we're in a role-playing environment, think of your character as an alive person.
Only /do /me the way you would in real life IC because its the whole point of making any Role-Play environment more fun.

For Example, Saying things in character would be like:
"Can I have a glass of water?"
You're generally asking another person a question, and they should give you a response such as
"Yes, I will bring you some."
Act as you would in real life, but only this time you have to use the following command
/w

Example:
/w Can I have a glass of water?
/w Yes, I will bring you some

2.2 How Can I express my feelings, or what's surrounding me In-Character?

It's very simple, Use /me to express feelings or things that you are doing
or use /do to describe your surroundings.

Examples:
/me
"Maltez is throwing the ball."
Proper way using the command: /me Is throwing the ball.

/do
"The ball hits the wall"
Proper way using the command: /do The ball hits the wall."

2.3 Out-of-Character meaning

(OOC), its an abbreviation for Out of Character, which is the person behind the computer/laptop playing the game.
To talk to people OOC, you must use the /b command show its OOC, directing it to the person behind the screen and not the player in character.

For Example:
If you said
/w "Does any1 know were i can buy some guns im lost lol"

Because that contains numbers/abbreviations you would have on a online chat service,
its OOC, but you're also including buying the guns, which is for your character so thats IC.
Thats an example of mixing IC with OOC, and the decent way to do so, is via using the /b command:
/b Does any1 know were i can buy some guns im lost lol
as it appears:
Maltez (OOC): Does any1 know were i can buy some guns im lost lol

3.1 Okay, so Rules?

Meta-Gaming - Meta-gaming is using OOC (Out of Character) information to know about IC (In Character) information.
e.g. Knowing a players name because its above there head. In real life it doesn't work like that. So it can't work like that in Role-Play
.
Power-Gaming - This is doing things thats unrealistic basically. A prime example is bunny hopping (Where you run and jump to get places faster.)
Its a fact bunny hopping is a lot quicker then running/jogging on the game, but you have to ignore that fact its a game when your role-playing, in real life you don't witness people running and jumping to get places faster, if you can't do it in real life, you can't do it in this environment.

Death Matching - Killing players for no reason at all is death matching and its strictly forbidden in LSRCR. Think of it like this:

When you kill someone for no reason, its death matching. If you stupid reasons for example someone pissing you off OOC, then its death matching.

If someone role-plays (acts) unto the point where you/they are killed, it isn't death matching because there are reasons for you dieing.

Revenge Killing - When you're fighting, guns/fists etc etc, think of it as a round. Who ever wins, wins the round, so you cannot go back for revenge, you've already lost.

That's all!

-Regards, Maltez.

I wrote this guide for players who might interesting into Roleplay.
I shorted some stuff and I managed to interpret only the basics, so it would be easier to understand.
After all the server is not Fully Roleplayish, not even a 20 percent.

Thank you.

I agree with Kaosx about both guides.
There are some mistakes with Nilikos's which I'm going to correct because it is located in the Pagati section.

Easy to point out what is wrong without actually offering any adjustments/improvements.

Good job for making the guide, if people do offer any improvements then they can be added/modified.

It is even easier to quote a person if you wish to join in a discussion.

As for your information, Maltez is/was Pagati Underboss, he is the least one that needs tips of making guides.
If you are making a guide, do it fully. (you did the same mistake with cop guide)

What Maltez written is basic common knowledge if you wish to Roleplay and also can be found in Google.
