So, I am getting a new PC and I am in a doubt between the i5-4690K (Haswell 2013) and i5-7500 (Kaby Lake 2017), I read that the 4690K is better for CSGO. State your opinions please

Depends if you plan to overclock too, problem with the CPU benchmarks is that the chances are half of the K processor benchmarks are from overclocked chips.

IMO you're better off paying a little extra to get an i5-7600 or i5-7600K depending if you plan to overclock.

On stock clocks the 7600 is better than both and is only marginally more expensive.

I like old Intel's Haswell generation processors.

If you're not going to OC it, then I'd take 4690k without any doubts.
