So, I am getting a new PC and I am in a doubt between the i5-4690K (Haswell 2013) and i5-7500 (Kaby Lake 2017), I read that the 4690K is better for CSGO. State your opinions please :D

Depends if you plan to overclock too, problem with the CPU benchmarks is that the chances are half of the K processor benchmarks are from overclocked chips.

IMO you're better off paying a little extra to get an i5-7600 or i5-7600K depending if you plan to overclock.

On stock clocks the 7600 is better than both and is only marginally more expensive.

I like old Intel's Haswell generation processors.

If you're not going to OC it, then I'd take 4690k without any doubts.
