First of all is overclocking a laptop safe?
Secondly how to go about it?
My laptop and my specs:
Asus gl553vd
16 gb ddr4 ram
1tb hdd (400+ left)
Gtx 1050 4 gb
2.9 ghz Intel processor

Overclocking will lead you into a temporary laptop.
I mean your laptop will overheat alot so you couldn't even touch the keys which leads to burning.So,yeah it's not safe in my opinion.

If you got one of those cooling pads for your laptop and oc'ing it a bit might be just fine.However,as jilla said,ocing a laptop isn't a good idea

Overclocking makes then CPU produce more heat, for a laptop this isn’t generally a bad idea.
