Hotwiring vehicles

Your name: [Lsrcr]Wednesday
Suggestion headline: Mechanic being able to hotwire any vehicle(+ - flying vehicles, it might be weird)
Importance of suggestion: 6.5/10
Why should it be accepted: I think it would open up a lot more gameplay styles and fun. I also think that the army's tank shouldn't be hotwireable, as well as all the flying vehicles since there are ones that have weaponry (also realistically it would be very hard to hotwire an airplane..). Maybe add some toolkit that can be obtainable from the black market. It would make the mechanic class much more enjoyable, at least that's how I see it from my perspective.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

What is hotwiring?
Wikipedia wrote:
Hot-wiring is the process of bypassing an automobile's ignition interlock and thus starting it without the key. It is often utilized during a vehicle theft. However, a legitimate vehicle owner who has lost their vehicle key may also implement this process.
I see so that means we mech should be able to unlock a locked vehicle that belongs to someone else right?

I was thinking about suggesting lockpicking the car as well, but it would get too complicating of a task to steal a car owned by someone. But in theory, you enter someones car, do /hotwire or /hw whatever, and you should be able to drive that said car.

You didn't ask anyone in specific, maybe try to specify who you're talking to next time you're posting on a public forum
IQ 200.
As for the suggestion itself, you're not explaining why this is useful or what it's even used for (and with which vehicles).
Ie. Imagine swat is about to drag someone, you jump in their sultan, hotwire that shit, and help out the other criminal. Hotwiring should give you wanted level since it is a crime (you're stealing a car). Also, the game is called Grand Theft Auto, it would be cool if such a feature can be implemented to the server. That is only my opinion tho. If you see some major downsides to this, please reply. As for the vehicles, I've said it already, exclude tank and flying vehicles (explained why in the first post). No other vehicles come to mind, that could be abused by the player.

If that seems like a lot of power for just a mechanic, what could be done is just let them be able to hotwire other players cars or something like that. Still didn't think this out fully, so any other tweaks to this are appreciated!

This would be kind of interesting
Hotwiring a vehicle owned by someone and enable everyone to drive the vehicle
However it will surely piss many peoples xDD (Especially SWATS)

This can be a way to make the mechanic skill active again and make it more interesting brother.

Definitely yes there would be more stuff then and mechanic class would be more usable and fun and kind of realistic since towing a rhino is pretty simple right now as if it's a normal vehicle.

So you're saying that mechanics should be able to drive any vehicles?
I disagree with this, could become annoying, also you could hotwire a tank and explode everyone, while there are strong rules in the army section which disallow this.

Negative.
