Part of administrators' job is dealing with the forum, which includes but isn't limited to: Handling reports, moving topics to the correct section, and dealing with account inquiries. Not only that but having everyone able to lock their own posts could take loads of time, which our web developers don't have time for.

Furthermore, being able to lock your own topic would be abuseable. For example:
Scenario 1:
- Player creates a suggestion on the forum
- Suggestion receives negative feedback
- Player gets anxious and locks his topic
- Administrator has to unlock topic as it's a suggestion, and everyone should be able to say his/her own opinion.

Scenario 2:
- Player makes an application or anything of sort
- Player receives a few replies and then locks his application, changing its title and adding [ACCEPTED]
- Player complains of being in the group and not receiving his/her rank.

These are just 2 scenarios of many more possible ones. There's no reason to want to lock your own application. Also, part of the administrators' job is to handle these types of posts so it won't be a load on them.

I don't really see why this is necessary your reasons for wanting to do this are very... bland?

I mean how often do you really need to lock your own topics?

Hey, we don't really believe that's needed. Players usually never have to lock their own topics (why would they?), and when they have to they can simply request it. It can easily be abused and we would rather not give such permission since it has never been an issue.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
