Ever wondered why loot boxes were changed from items and such to skins, paints, and other cosmetics? Well, when you PURCHASE a box which has the change to increase your monetary value, such as pay 2 dollars and possibly win 4, or possibly win nothing, that is considered gambling. Now, I don't know about the rest of the world, but here, if you offer gambling, in any form, to anyone under 21 (and thats 99% of this server) it's a class 3 felony. So... yeah, you're looking at CXdur being arrested if this gets implimented...

Even things like Minecraft require you have a parent or guardian accept the terms for you if you are underage. Is it followed? No. Is it reqired? From a legal standpoint yes. As long as we have cafe users, CXdur cannot claim "plausible deniability" like Mojang can as he knows full well kids in cafe's aren't having their parents sign the TOS. Which means he again faces legal issues with it.Karu_Tepes wrote:You can simply ask the users to accept some terms in order to get access to it you know that right?

If you remove the DPS purchase price and add in-game cash that anyone can get, this would be fine because then no real world currency is being used and so it's not specifically gambling with real world money. That could do, till then you're more than welcome to join tgols discord server and open such cases for in-game money.

The reason I'm so touchy on this is because I watched a Minecraft server owner get sued by parents because their kid stole their credit card, bought a bunch of "gems" (the donation item) and use said gems to purchase in game stuff. He lost, and lost HARD. Like 500k real fucking dollars over it. He ended up bankrupt, so I know how touchy this crap can be,
