Suggestion headline: Let the user know the decision of the private report
Picture:
Spoiler: show
Importance of suggestion: 9/10
Why should it be accepted:
So I found out that to report an old player for strong rule breaks, we have to do a private report.
But admins won't tell me info about the report, which is really a crazy part. So basically, a user collects proof, records videos about a rule breaker, and reports privately, then at last, what does he get? nothing, not even the final decision of the report. This is kinda weird. Does it even make sense to report a guy with strong proof? I don't think so
So my point is:==> You report a player, and you don't even know what's going on; either the player is punished, or the report was invalid. (demotivates me to private report)

The only time you should be submitting private reports is for aimbot or keybinding. But if you want to see if action was taken, you don't need staff to tell you. Just go their UCP

ls-rcr.com/user/(username)

If staff banned them, it'll have a banned tag under their image

So what you’re basically suggesting is that I should keep checking someone’s UCP page over and over just to guess whether the report was handled.
That doesn’t really make sense.
Your approach also ignores the biggest issue:
What happens if the report was invalid or simply never reviewed?
How long am I supposed to keep checking? A week? A month? Two months?
Because in my case, after waiting two months, the only reply I got was: “we don’t reveal the result.”
So your “just check UCP” advice doesn’t solve anything.
If the outcome isn’t revealed, then checking UCP becomes pointless — I’d just be waiting for information that the system will never actually provide.

I’m not asking for private details; I’m asking for basic clarity. And your argument actually proves why that clarity is needed in the first place.

The clarity is that keybinds and aimbot are ALWAYS a ban. 90% of those are bans are permanent. Meaning if you check the user, and they were banned, congratulations, your proof was enough. If they are not banned, staff either did not find you had enough proof, or are still investigating. It's not that hard to figure out.

Staff DO need to consider user privacy and such. They also want to make sure the user doesn't know they are being investigated for aimbot or keybinding. Because once a player knows they're being watched, they won't use them. Trust me, I've been staff on other servers, we did that same thing. We also banned people who told hackers they were being watched because they are assisting when they do that.

The outcome, should your report be deemed valid, will be a ban. User profiles show when a user is banned. So that solution works just as well as staff telling you.

Why do you care so much? and why waiting for the report to be handled? you did your job by report them to the Staff members. You got nothing else to do. unnecessary.

Admins let you know that the user you reported is on the watchlist and under investigation. This is enough information for you

If no action has been taken it means they have not yet found credible evidence to conclude the user is using aimbot, or they believe he is clean. I think this is common sense
