Suggestion headline: Convert donation currency to the player's country of residence.
Picture: N/A
Importance of suggestion: 10/10
Why should it be accepted: I've been thinking of ways to increase donations and keep the server alive and running. Instead of using the default US currency, we could allow players to set their country of residence. They wouldn't be able to change it (to avoid abusing that system by choosing the cheap ones) unless they contact the admins and provide solid proof that they've moved to another country.

Once a country is selected, the donation currency would automatically convert to that country's local currency. For example, since I'm Egyptian, my donation payments would be shown in EGP instead of USD.

This would work similarly to Spotify and other well-known applications, where users pay in their local currency instead of US dollars. This makes payments more affordable for players in countries where the US dollar is expensive, rather than losing potential subscribers or donors entirely.
Spoiler: show

Here's a list of suggested country-based values to change to, though I'm not entirely sure about some of the values for other countries:
  • Egypt: 1 DP = 15 Egyptian Pounds
  • Pakistan: 1 DP = 150 Pakistani Rupees (not fully certain)
  • Israel: 1 DP = 1.5 Israeli New Shekels (not fully certain)
  • Philippines: 1 DP = 20 Philippine Pesos (not fully certain)

I like the idea, and the way you have it works great on paper, but the issue I see is that I doubt Energ is set up to exchange all those currencies unless PayPal or another service he uses does it for him. Would it be easier to instead have it done still in USD, but in cents? The American Dollar is able to be broken down to 100 cents, which is where we get our Quarter (25 cents), Dime (10 cents) and Nickle (5 cents). So instead of say... 150 of one currency, they would instead pay 34 cents ($0.34)* based on the current exchange rates?

* - Please note that example is not based on an actual currency exchange rate

As @Lost_Soul mentioned, this is similar to Roblox’s new regional pricing feature, where prices are lowered without needing to change the currency. As an active developer, I believe this feature is more profitable because selling an item at a lower price is better than making no sales at all.
However, there are different perspectives to consider. Truthfully, I am not entirely sure of the impact because some regions do not have access to PayPal. In those cases, regardless of whether the price is high or low, users still won't be able to donate. I am undecided if the main issue is the price rates or simply the lack of available payment methods.

Seems like a really good and helpful idea, especially for people who can’t afford it normally, since they could pay with real money instead. But I’m wondering, how would they transfer the money if they don’t have a PayPal account?

For example, the money could be sent to any Egyptian admin who has a PayPal account. Then, the admin could transfer it to the LSRCR email and include the buyer’s name along with how many DPS they want to purchase.

Actually it's a good idea because there is people who cannot pay for this , I mean dollar is expensive as cover said in some other countries and also on egypt , and as deve said its same in roblox
in roblox you can buy 1k robux for 500 egp or 450, by usd its 15 or 20 so it's like 1.5k egp but they made it for 500
so I hope you accept this suggestion

I actually support the main idea behind this suggestion. Regional pricing is something many large platforms use bcs $1 in one country does not have the same value in another. For players from countries with weaker currencies, donations can feel extremely expensive when everything is fixed in USD, so local pricing could encourage more people to donate instead of completely avoiding it.

At the same time, this system would need to be handled carefully to avoid abuse and unfair pricing gaps between countries. Furthermore, a clear verification or restrictions on changing country like Cover said. A proper balance between affordability and server revenue would be important as well. Otherwise ppl may try to exploit cheaper regions through VPNs (Fake informations could be given to admins.)

I think the suggestion has potential if it is done in a controlled and realistic way. Maybe not full "1 DP ≈ fixed local amount" conversions, but rather adjusted regional pricing tiers depending on the country. That could make donations more accessible while still keeping the server financially stable.
