Why should it be accepted:

Hello everyone.

I believe that currently the bounty hunter class is somewhat "misued".
Players are able to choose this class and immediately receive complete set of free weapons from police departments all over San Andreas.
I think this feature of this class is causing more harm than good in the grand scheme of things.

Bounty Hunter class was created with the intent of helping/supporting the Law Enforcement Officers, however it's the other way around now. People acquire ton of weapons free of charge, and then proceed to kill cops.

There is this kind of butterfly effect going on affecting the whole server:
1. Bounty Hunters get free weapons -- > No need to rob places/do other activities since it's free -- > Kill cops all day --> Server turns into team deathmatch

2. Bounty Hunters get free weapons --> Bounty Hunter camp at LSPD, because he is already there --> New players get constantly killed at their spawn sites --> New players get frustrated and leave.
I witnessed this a lot of times.

I summarised some pros and cons of doing this:
Pros:

• LSPD/LSA stops being a battleground place, new player friendly
• Server economy improves, people buy guns from ammu-nation
• Players are encouraged to buy weapons from weapon dealers (improvement on another class)
• Players are encouraged to join gangs/groups and use their weapon stash
• Players are encouraged to just rob places, do legal jobs and other activities ( to get money for guns)
• Fair to other classes that can not obtain free weapons

Cons:

• Bounty hunter no longer gets free weapons
• People might complain that they can no longer duel at LSA

I believe the pros heavily outweight the cons. I invite everyone to discussion, I want to hear your thoughts!

I don't really remember well, but as far as I know, in v10 they disallowed bounty hunters from taking free weapons as you were suggesting, and it turned out badly. Players complain, and criminal activity kind of dropped for those who cannot afford to buy a VIP packet or have a group. Ammunition does sell you guns, but it is expensive with limited ammo.

I think you might have uncovered another issue on the server.
Most people have no idea how the weapon system works in the GTA & the ammu-nation shop is badly designed ( it's also a good time to create another suggestion, I might consider making one later).

I'm never playing as the bounty hunter and I'm able to easily afford weapons by robbing 1 - 2 stores. How? It's simple. By using class that already has somewhat good base weapons (hitman, kidnapper, hacker etc.) and by buying wisely at the ammu-nation.

How do you buy wisely you ask? Simple. When you spawn with combat shotgun with 500 ammo and you want swan-offs, you buy single sawn-offs shotgun in the store. The ammunition is shared across all shotguns. You would get surprised that many folks don't know this, and buy the most expensive shotgun rounds and get broke.

By doing this you can have extremely cheap weapons, except for sniper rifles.

Yeah I think it might be too harsh. I have something more mild in mind that could help solve the problem. There definetely is an issue, and it must be resolved but in a different way than I have suggested
