Don't make it like that. You'll name every sport dangerous, we just have to choose from the safest ones. Breaking a leg in football ( I meant soccer btw ) is not that easy. You'd have to play with a stone ball probably. I'm aware of the dangers and would wish my child only the best. Everything would be taken under consideration.
You don't play much football then. It's extremely easy to get injured. You would let him play then, and 'wish him the best'. When he gets injured, he'll learn. He'll get experienced. He won't make the mistake again. If God didn't let us approach anything that's dangerous, and didn't let us learn on our own, we'd be doomed. This is why God doesn't answer each prayer. This is the way humans learn.
I play football nearly everyday in summer for about 6 years now. And not alone, with 8-12 friends. It's not easy to get injured if your aware of the dangers and not play like a bafoon. Sure, you can get tackled and fall down on the ground, but that's minor, nothing to be worry about.
I still do not want my child to become a skateboarder. He'll get attracted to this sport and in the future you cannot prevent injuries because this sport might be deadly on every corner. Why choose skateboarding when you can show him other hundreds of things to do.
No offence, but your imaginary child won't be a very independent person in the future. If you don't let him try things on his own, he won't grow, he won't learn. God has the same mentality, he doesn't want us to be completely dependant on him, but when things that we cannot control happen, we'll go to God and pray.
He's 8 years old. I'm in-control of his life. I'll introduce him to other sports and activities that are interesting and fun. Do you really think I want my kid on a skateboard at 8 years old? He'll stand on a board and fall right away, which might be DEADLY on a stone ground. Think. Teaching an 8 year old child to skateboard is not wise, age of 15 could be more appropriate.
I could tell you the same about the energy of the universe.
What is the energy of the universe? Is it a concept you've just thought of or have you believed in it for a while?
I watched the movie "The Secret" a few months ago and it enlarged my views about the energy of the universe. I didn't know about it before, but I knew that thinking positively helps, just not in a scale that they talk about in the film, it's much bigger than I expected.
You don't get the point..... You won't become him instantly or the next day. You have to take step by step in life, firstly look positively on things you currently have around yourself. Becoming the president is the end of the line, the maximum you can reach. There is much more to do before that and you have to stay positive about what you are doing and you will reach the goal you're headed to. It's not like you sit on a couch and think positively and say "I'll be the president", you have to work too.
Thousands of people think positively and don't get to where they're aiming for.
No. You created that right now. It's about being confident, about thinking positively all the time, about working your ass off, about putting negative things away, it's a matter of time.
No. There are limits of course. Don't put it out to a universe dimension, you're talking nonsense just to take down my opinion.
I'm not. You're replacing God with this energy. God made this universe, what has the energy done?
God didn't "make" the universe. I have no explanation about the whole universe, it's a very complicated topic. But what I think is that god is imaginary and the energy is among us. (personal opinion)

Alright, fine. Football is also a dangerous sport if you don't know what you're doing. You could break a leg (yours, or someone else's) if you're unaware. Your son wants to play football. Would you deprive him of it or would you tell him to be careful?

Helmet. It can be perfectly fine with the proper safety measures. Besides, the safety of skateboarding isn't the point.

I know people who have worked and failed. My dad's friend's daughter, straight A students who went to the best universities, graduated with a degree in a prestigious profession, and end up making sandwiches in McDonalds because they can't find a job, and taking loans from their parents. Been in that state for a while now. They thought positively, they worked their asses to the bone, but life fucked them over. It's a test from God, are you going to give up and be a nobody, or are you gonna keep on fighting for what you want?

Although I think it's bull, I respect your opinion.

Football is not that dangerous since the kid will learn from kicking the ball around, not playing in a championship. It's much more safer than skateboarding.

A helmet is not enough. When you stand up on a skateboard the world becomes extremely dangerous where a helmet or pads won't help. You may fall in such a way that it won't be fixable in the future, you can injure someone else, you can get him by a car if you accidentaly skate down to the road etc etc. Anything can happen and if the kid is very young he doesn't have the capability to skate properly.

When people work, they only think about what they are doing. I doubt that they knew about the energy of the universe, that's why they failed. If they had everything they needed to get the job they wanted, that means it's only up to them. The only thing they have to do now is try and get the job. If not from the first time, try again, a different job where your hard work will pay off. If they are working at McDonalds now they have probably given up and dealt with that fact that this is it, this is where I'll spend my life. That's bad, that's focusing on negative things, and the negativity will be around you.

What about the people who don't know about the energy of the universe, the people who have succeeded in school, college, and have a successful business, people who believe in God, people who pray in their time of need (while taking precautions)? Pure coincidence that their life turned out this way, despite not knowing about this energy?

This is your relative you mentioned before:
:)
She worked her ass off.
She got straight A's.
Graduated with perfect results.
Works at McDonalds.

This is a person who believes in god:
o:)
He worked his ass off.
He got straight A's.
Graduated with perfect results.
He prays to find a good job.

Works as an architect and gets paid really well.

What's wrong here? The person who believes in god expects to receive something good, to be a good architect. He prays and gets what he wants. That's because he's expecting it, he thinks positively "everything will be ok, god will help me". He doesn't have doubts that god will betray him and the positive energy around him helps him attract more of it.

You don't know did your relative think positively or not. And I'm sure she didn't. She just thought that everything is cool when you graduated with straight A's, but when it comes to getting a job, you start worrying and lose your confidence because you cannot find one, that attracts negativity and you keep on receiving more and more. You end up in McDonalds.

God's existence = no proof
the 'energy' you are talking about = no proof

Only one of these is the truth. It's now all about faith. Believe what you want to believe in.

Mindfuck.
Not my relative btw, dad's friend's daughter but w/e
Not everything you expect and hope for will happen, whether you're thinking positively or negatively.
I assume she was thinking positively, she got through school and college with excellent grades didn't she, she came back home optimistic, but couldn't find a job, so now she works at McDonalds to make a living while she searches for her job.

Didn't you guys notice, lives in world is a test, afterlife is the real one.. even a heaven and hell can war in anytime if they want to, if you neutral which side are you? A priest against an illuminati guy, who do you think will won? A priest who pray to god for help and can't even fight, and illuminati that can assasinate any people. Pick your side i'm already chose one.
