That's because you play at 800x600 with all those fucked up curvy lines on the textures while I play at 1920x1080, hence I actually get to see the details of the mod. The only thing I dislike is the chrome textures that the modded did,they look shit.

The numbers are the resolution you play on. And try enabling anti aliasing, draw distance to max, and other settings maxed out, you graphics card would burn as soon as you max out the settings :p
