Welcome to the server where one admin tells you you can do something, the other punishes you for doing it. Once I was told by Nelis I can blow up the gas station if there are innocent players near it.. so I did it to Johnson.. nope didn't like it much, jailed for DM. Then I heard Chris or Ribery saying I am allowed to cuff innocent players to prevent them from doing a crime ( breaking a car, for example ), sometime later everyone is saying it is not allowed, this guy lost a tag because of it. You admen need to sit at a table once in a while and talk

If you do damage to innocents, you sir break a rule. No matter what gun do you use, and no matter HOW do you damage innocent.
Rule is simple and clear, "Do not DM", it means in ANY WAY.
You cant car park them, cant shoot with guns, cant make cars randomly explode to damage them, cant shoot gas station in order to damage them, and in any other way you are not allowed to take single damage to innocents...
Is it clear now?

That's what I thought, I was the one who originally died to the explosion of the gas station, so I was like.. "Hey Nelis.. aint this DM?" and he kept convincing me it isn't. Then even Spoon told me to stop asking if its DM or not.

I am just saying that this happend me a lot of times from a tagged member, and when I've asked, I didn't get a clear answer.

First I want to thank you for pointing out a rule that might be unclear to some. I understand some rules or situations might be confusing and leads to mistakes by players and admins.

1. Cuffing an innocent citizen in order to make him freeze without any legitimate reasons.
( Example for an illegitimate reason - cuffing because of a bad mood as a bullying or mocking attempt. )
( Example for a legitimate reason - cuffing in order to search. )

2. Leaving an innocent citizen handcuffed after there aren't any legitimate reasons left and the citizen isn't being any kind of threat.
( For example, after searching a citizen and finding zero illegal stuff. )

#1. Is it correct?
#2. Do I have the right to cuff an hostile citizen attempting to murder? If no, please explain.
#3. Do I have the right to leave an hostile citizen handcuffed since I cannot take weapons away? If no, please explain.
In my opinion, getting handcuffed 30 seconds for once, after getting explained is acceptable.

I am asking.
#4. Please redefine the rule regarding cuff abuse, once and for all, don't leave any unclear points.

1# Yes,that's correct.

2# Yes, you're allowed to cuff hostile civilians and you may use /rp (id) (reason).

3# With the current rule you're not allowed to leave anyone handcuffed. This rule was created before we made the 30 sec timer. In my opinion we should allow cops to leave hostile civilians handcuffed.

4# There will always be unclear points but we can start by changing the rule to "No cuff abusing, you aren't allowed to leave a non-hostile player handcuffed, you must un-cuff them after a search"

If you have any suggestions to make this more clear for everyone feel free to pm me.



Off-topic: the gas station situation. In sa-mp we have to deal with desync and for this reason it's not always possible to check who damage who with the explosion at the gas station. I think we can only allow players to shoot or ram the gas station with the hope everyone gets aware of the situation and knows to be careful when he gets near the gas station. I'm open for suggestions if you have solution for this.
