Why isn't logic taught in schools?

If the government really wants to educate you,i hope their education system included logic and philosophy as separated subjects.
"Logic" should be a whole subject itself at schools if they want to teach kids how to learn.
Cause (at where i used to go) all we had to "know" for school were simple facts,we had to memorize them and then 'recall' that memory on tests and so on..
That education system ain't really good imo..
Do you think logic should be taught at schools instead of well..let's say a religious subject?(i'm not against it,but for the students to understand religion they first have to understand reason (logic) ).
what do you think about it? (keep the negative comments to yourself,i clearly don't wanna hear it,if you "must" then use PM to 'criticize' my opinion. ( i just don't want this topic to end up like most did).

Logic has many flaws. I've told people things they told me were impossible but I did them already.
Since their logic has not been 'updated' they cannot perceive or comprehend that they're logic falls
short because experience is a factor. Logic is based on the information we already have. If we lack
information we can say something is fake/impossible simply because our 'logic' can't process it.

Using logic as a deciding factor is what "limited thinking humans" rely on for survival.
If you had told me anything I learned in the last year, 2-3yrs ago, my logic would have
denied it because it couldn't even process what you were telling me. Now that I can
process more, it's only room to grow.

Logic IS taught in school, but not directly. We are taught that if you see something it's real.
If you don't see it, it is fake. This is what cripples so many humans who don't know the tools
God put us on earth with. We're stuck believing all we have is seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting
and feeling. We get so use to these everyday senses that we 'humans' decided with these 5
we can create something called logic.

BUT

What happens when something IS true but we haven't seen, touched, heard, smelled or tasted it?

Our logic FAILS.

logic in school isn't what you think it is. trust me. i hate maths and im less bored and more interested of math classes than logic

According to your suggestion about adding something like a 'Logic' class and 'Philosophy' (in separate subjects) i strongly believe it would change the whole future generations thinking, teaching this kind of useful things would've a great idea and a huge advance for the whole Humanity, the actual 'great' and 'smartest' persons in 'the world' aren't 'normal' for us, we believe (most atleast) that they're special, but obviously if they 'studied' in the school, they and like most of us just had to memorize different 'important' things, in Mexico, the study is based on different points, since your presentation and attitude to your discipline and works in class.

Everyone has their opinion but yeah, i feel like the actual education isn't the best for us, basing our ideas on books or experiments while (most) we don't even know why does the experiment works like that or the 'books' have that information (Why the authors should know this, are they based off what they learned from the school?), Just adding the single class about the 'logic' will confuse many persons but will be useful for those who have talents (and are curious) to show and 'work' with them 'faster', what's the matter if they learn to use their talent 'fast'? who know, possibly from a huge sciense/physic/chemical discover to the technology 'updates' and as juice said, our logic simply fails but there's a big adventage on our side, we are 'alive' and we are evolving our 'thinking' system.

I don't know if someone else has experienced this situation:
Sometimes, i just really get 'into' a 'deep' thinking 'space', sometimes i've been thinking on other persons who i know and then the idea about the 'ignorance' between many humans is incredibly 'high', i mean, my class partners and friends just assist the school or talk with others and evolve throughout the society, just like they don't have any care on the study, then suddendly i think: 'i am more smart than others or i evolved more than other persons?' when i basically know that couldn't be the certain idea but yeah, just i'm surprissed that i can think more, investigate or consider every possible result after or before taking a decision: 'if i do this, the impact will be this but i want other kind of result so i can do this and this...' and so on, i do not meet people who practice or 'use' this 'method' (if we could say it's a method), so for me (who knows), is the 'special' talent that i got, plus i like how does the 'logic' and 'philosophy' works over of our actions.

I don't really get why logic is needed to be taught. I mean, it's basically another word for common sense. If it's gonna be a subject, it'll focus more on identifying similar figures (like those you see in an online IQ test) and deductive reasoning. Besides, if we've reached a point where we have to be educated in common sense, then forget studying. We're gonna self-destruct soon enough anyway.

Philosophy is another story. I believe it's already being taught. The thing is, it's not that significant for the current education system because it won't land you a job.


On another note, I agree with what most of you believe; logic is incomplete. That's why we weren't born as robots. We have cognitive and non-cognitive skills. If we're talking about facts, both these skills are factors of equal value. Concrete thinking isn't enough to form a consensus in most cases.

But I digress. The point is, if you think the government is educating its people solely for advancement, then you are horribly mistaken. Though it's not a bad choice.

This is purely my two cents, but if I were in their shoes, I'd give these kids something harmless to spend their whole lives studying (humans are naturally curious, see), because if I let them wander on their own, it'd be pretty chaotic. As a world leader, I'd rather not watch the current system be overthrown. It's full of flaws-- but it's good as it is. We're making progress, aren't we? Then what's the big idea? Just stick your nose where it belongs; out of my business. Do the world a good deed or something. Why don't you just obediently pay your taxes and let me do the governing, yeah? Sound good?

And think about how many people don't have common sense. The real scam is how they crippled
our senses by not telling/teaching us how to use all of our senses. They tell us just enough where
when we understand it, we'll still be stupid compared to them. That is until we learn all our senses.
Our God given senses. Seeing, tasting, smelling, hearing and feeling are just the ones they had to
tell us because those are basic senses they can't lie about. If all you have is those senses then you're
missing out... As they intended for you.
