I hate the fact that 11PM prevented defense on this topic, I can prove everyone who rejects it wrong but let's just remain calm.
Go for it.

Hey, 11PM. I'm allowing Hiccup here to 'prove me wrong'.
The topic isn't yours thus you're not the one who allows or rejects, we can speak in the PMs.

I'd rather not as I've seen most of your "posts", if you wish to call them that, on the Religion&Culture forums.
And, dear Lord, you need some Jesus in your life.

Simple, no?
Whenever i see religion involved there is a war going on (who is right and who is wrong). But literally, 100% of topics end up with war. Why is that?

I personally see two possible answers:
1. Religion is bad and always causes a war, fights between men. Even we are all same though
2. Some of you are idiots/trolls and like to fight with each others, instead of trying to help each other. (no offense, "idiot" is just another noun/adjective)

If i wanted to become a religious man, and if i decided to take a look at this community and this Religion forum, and if i saw all this crap going on, i would definitely choose to be an atheist. Because all you men are just a wrong example for every single religion mentioned in all these topics. Period.

Share your OPINIONS/thoughts.

[Dont try to create another war here, i will end it up very fast. Post your opinion as mature and grown person (even if you were not one) and get off the thread.]
I would hope you wouldn't come here to find God. With GTA SA being one of thee most satanic games ever created, the majority here is under satans spell. Some worse off than others. It depends on their parents, life experiences, friends etc.. If you have bad role models you become a bad role model. Crap produces crap. If your parents drink alcohol, smoke, curse, fight, yell, treat others bad. The chances of you being a terrible person is highly increased.

Most will deny this because it describes who they are

This is actually common sense.
And no, i didnt come here to find God :P But you are correct about "crap produces crap" ;)
Most of them members in this community like to show off and "be right" all the time, and they are just too weak to say "im sorry, i was wrong, you are right". I guess we have to live with it.

Yeah I experienced this with a member I had respect for. His only intention was to prove me wrong. I studied harder and many years longer so he failed but he would defend the stupidest things. I think he wanted to learn somethings but ran into false information. I can admit when I'm wrong. If I don't know, I keep my mouth shut. The only people who end up being fools are those who speak when they don't know.

Mouths are for teaching.

Ears are for learning.

Someday others will figure this out as well.

The only problem with discussions on religions is that they are never like civilised debates in which people learn to accept each other's perspective. It's mainly about trying to prove "my religion is better" and trying to impose one's religion on each other. And we all know how this ends...

For a civilized debate, we would need civilized people.

1 - "Social Inclusion"
Many people have never received attention, affection and love of parents and family - and that's left for these people is often the abandonment, pain and loneliness. Not infrequently, so people become depressed, to enter the world of crime, use drugs or prostitutes. Religions usually bring these people excluded a healthy social life, social engagement and an environment where she is accepted and loved by those around him.
In addition, churches function as great social clubs where people feel part of a group. Thus, the church becomes a place where people can meet to chat, make friends, interact socially and meet new people. This type of environment is relatively scarce nowadays, because there are few places where people of all ages can meet and form social and emotional bonds in their daily lives. Own cults, ceremonies, retreats and youth meetings serve as a healthy social gathering for many people.

2 - "Moral Education"
There are people - especially children and teenagers - who were never home education, they never received moral values that parents abandoned on the streets, who did not have anyone to teach them right from wrong and who live in absolute worth-all morality. Many are simply forgotten by society and live in complete marginalization and hopelessness. Religion, in this respect, is to teach them what is right and wrong, what is ethical and what they can not do without injuring the rights of others.

3 - "Brake against crime"
Not comic in the number of people who left drugs, addictions, the world of crime, promiscuity and wild life to live according to the purposes of religion. Moreover, it is always preferable someone point you a Bible that you point a gun.
We can also add that there are people who have no moral compass and feel free to do whatever you want. The idea of a punitive God helps people to not commit crimes for fear of Allah.

4 - "Solidarity and Humanism"
Many religions are meant to help others, to spread altruism and to stimulate solidarity and charity to our needy brothers. Many charitable institutions, asylums, orphanages and daycare centers receive financial assistance and volunteer work coming from churches.
There are those who claim that there is selfishness on the part of those who help them similar because many people help just to get a heavenly reward after death. I know this is petty, but in this case, the ends justify the means. It is better that people be supportive for work to obtain heaven that do not help anyone.

5 - "Antidepressant"
The belief in a loving Father who loves you, who say you do not come about by chance, that says you will find loved ones after death and that helps you in difficult times is something that tames many of our existential concerns, for faith brings comfort and brings relief from anxiety and depression. Many people have emotional and psychological structure to live without a religion that gives this emotional comfort. God, in a way, acts as a kind of psychiatrist, where the person talking to herself and vents about their problems, anxieties and longings - and it does a darn good to us all

6 - "Happiness"
There are people who come into existential ecstasy and feel a blissful experience in the contact with the entity they believe. Similar thing happens at rock concerts, where fans go in ecstasy, lit lighters, cry and hug each other happy. Another example is the retreats and meditations that bring well-being, comfort and inner peace.

7 - "Meaning"
Do not know why the universe exists and what happens after death cause distress to many people, then, religion serves as a palliative to deal with these issues without anyone need to think about it. Religion brings immediate answers to fundamental questions, giving a deeper meaning to people's lives, even illusory.

I'm sorry for any errors in English.
I don't need no fuckin man servant tryna follow me around and wipe my ass.
