Why should it be accepted: A few other servers already have this feature. Basically, a fuel gauge is added to all vehicles (except for boats, planes and trains) and when it is nearly depleted, you must fill it up by driving to the nearest gas station.

I know the convenience stores at the gas stations are already robbable and can be used as an alternative to /items, but this should add another way to use them.
