That made a german RP server too with about 300 players online..
Make a time interval of 2 weeks, where you can write an unbann request with Bann reason, date and co. If there are really players who changed hisself and wanna play here, they'll make a request.

I see the picture you're painting here but I can't help but disagree with what is being suggested. While I'm all in for giving one last chance to those that actually want to play, this will create more of a problem than solve it. We've kept cheaters at bay by keeping them banned and this just lets them back in which just means countless hours of effort by the staff team into investigating complicated matters and indulging in cat and mouse chases all over again. I'm sorry but -1.

About the last sentence, as mentioned in this thread, you could always made a vote poll and deny people who did more than cheating and who have been more investigated, in other words, deny those who have done more damage. It would all be up to you

If this were to be added, the community would be condoning the use of cheats, and as a result, would cause an increase in the amount of cheaters. The fact is, by telling cheaters that a community has a two strike policy in which their punishment can be reversed, it will only result in players abusing cheats secretly until they are caught (to gain things like score). Let me give you a specific scenario in which this would fail. During times when no admins are online, certain players cheat in order to gain score. They do this for about a month before they are caught, and when they get caught, they are banned for abusing cheats unrelated to score. Now this person has the score they wanted, and has been unbanned without admins knowing that they score boosted using cheats. What then? It really does not make sense to do this in any community at all. The fear of being permanently banned forces players who enjoy the server to abide by the rules or they lose their privilege to play.

Another alternative would be to forgive those who have been permanently banned for reasons other than cheating. Pretty sure these are the ones who learned their lesson. Less trouble, little to deal with.

Maybe you are right,some of the cheaters won't do it again but you're risking of the situation happening again.

This game is made to have fun and cheaters never make it fun,maybe for them but not for the players around him. He gets a certain unfair advantage. You use hacks because you decide to do so,it's your choice and this choice has consequences.

90% of cheaters wont even look at our forums, let stay make an unban application. They just move on to the next server. But I know myself some people really want to play again and regret they cheated.

Anyone can fake a sincere unban appeal. Some people don't even learn from punishments, I mean we aren't going to name people, but I don't like this idea even though I understand what your getting at.
