Hello there,

Now this is a subject that I really want to discuss and clear out some things for some of you. The attitude "mark". We see it everywhere: on tag applications, on group tests and others.

So what is this "attitude" that guides 80% of the members of the Community? It's simply an expression of favor or disfavor toward a person. To be honest, I think some players don't really understand it. You must first observe the player in order to rate his attitude. I've seen some tagged members voting in tag applications like: "horrible attitude", "very bad attitude". I'm not saying the attitude is not important, but some tend to evaluate it wrongly.

Just because you've seen a player rage once or twice does not mean he has a bad attitude overall. We all have our bad moments and in those moments, we need help by our friends. Why not encourage them, why not have a talk with them? This is a big Community, we consist of people around the world. Some actions are permitted in a certain country/area, whereas in other areas of the planet it may seem totally inappropriate. We first have to understand someone's behavior in order to rate his attitude.

Attitude is more complex than some of you might think. Indeed it's a matter of perception, but first you have to do your homework before judging someone in a certain way.

I honestly seen some people giving negatives and writing bad attitude in the reason just because they have nothing to outline in the reason. Also about unkown attitude, some people thing its something bad, if u dont know it then just simply dont write it. Nice topic btw

I agree with that ,attitude can vary from person to person (it is way too complex for simplicity to understand),depending on their maturity and so on..but it can also vary from day to day..some days are shitter some days are better ,but thing is instead of raging back at someone who's mad try and calm him down (be the bigger man) and if he doesn't calm down you may 'rate' his attitude as bad ,but i've seen some votes on attitude myself that are based on if the person arrested them or not or similar shit..well that's plain wrong and i want you guys (no names mentioned) to stop doing that and start rationalizing attitude votes (a tagged member MUST know how to vote before he votes)

It's somehow a human thing that by the looks / appearance of someone we get ready to judge.
Personally I did find bad votes on a person saying he has a bad attitude and all, but when I spoke and played with him I didn't really find the bad attitude.

May be Off topic: Another scenario which happened to me last time, some guy offended me "fuck your mom" etc etc, and of course as a 19 year old I wouldn't get butt hurt by that. Then after not responding to him, he said, "Sorry man I forgot that we teamed up, you're cool". And I didn't even care to throw him a reply.

My point is that everyone is different and just like you said, it is good that we could have a chat with them now and then, it is hard but we should never just judge like that.

Yep, I agree as attitude really is quite a large element of the community. People may not be able to fully appreciate or analyse someone's attitude as there is only so much we can show across a computer screen - it's mainly up to the person being judged to express his personality and mind frame, whether that's in a positive or negative way. Also, people can have imperfect knowledge so they may not be able to analyse another person's attitude accurately, this can happen to anyone as you can never expect a perfect situation! But yea, I agree StormWind as attitude is indeed much more complex for a lot of reasons. Humans naturally like goodness and positive energy over pessimism, no matter the circumstances so that's why it's worth having a dope attitude.

Fully agreed! We need communication in order to understand one-another. Why blame someone if we see him rage? Why not talk him out of it? Why not convince him that he is wrong and maybe try to understand him?

I'm sure that we can be one big happy family here, but we are so obsessed with this desire to blame and to point out the bad parts in people: "He did this, he said that" that we forget we are all human, we make mistakes, we rage, we shout, we swear and then we apologize and realize it all a mistake.

Attitude will depend on whats going on, experienced this on many occasions before usually on the server and in other game. Usually the best way to deal with a rotten apple is to speak to them and turn them into a respectable member of the community, on some occasions its a 50/50 shot but if you talk to them and calm them down by all means it'll help them become well respected fellows and it'll spawn a new generation of kind & respected fellow players.

I've seen negativity on a rise, but its not most of the players but it usually beliefs, interests and so on. A solution for this, best to keep those a-side and do not mention them to either one or another.

I myself used to be an cocky arogant raging clown. The more hate and rage there was how more i liked it.
Untill someone ( i believe it was Wakka) talked sence into me. I knew the server allready, the server did know who i was(that asshole bitchy clown). I turned over, and hell look were i am now. Having friends all over the world, enjoying my time ingame cuz there is always someone who wanna play.
So if you are an asshole an reading this, being happy fun and full of love. Has way more positive things , and is more fun foryourself
