I'd say it's fine. A tad too expensive, $500-550 was probably what I'd pay for it.

I think it's a bit too expensive for what it offers.

Drawbacks:
Too big screen - especially if you plan to carry it around all the time because of college
It's not HD and not an IPS display
There should definitely be at least one SSD for the OS
Way too heavy (I suppose you're gonna be carrying it around(college))

Honesty is great.

Anyways, I'd say it's a little much for a laptop - as they degrade so quick that's quite a high price for saying this is used and hasn't been refurbed, am I right?
