Sitting down after work looking back at my life, not so easy when it’s been one big fight, the people get older and the nights seem colder, the ignorance of the people get bolder, now innocents have to look over their shoulder, shots go off every night, the people with no might are found dead in an ally with no light, people ignore what is true, ignore what they’ll lose but what would you do if it happened to you, and can’t fight back cause you can’t even see the enemy with no face, he leaves no trace, and devistates all the people with slow pace, you can run but there’s no where to hide, the false protection then become a lie, the people who claim to protect them die by the hand of the unseen, the place looks clean but the evil that’s conceived is often concealed, only subtly revealed, until it’s to late and the majority who wise up are killed, the crying kids are filled with terror, they see the error but no resolution is found, until they drowned all the memories and filters them out, but even still the memories rattle around, of the past that is left trying once more to forget, but it can’t be done, it isn’t fun when you’re the one now holding the gun taking care of business that has to be won.
