Stop with the pray for syria tweets already. The refugees don't need your prayers. They need actual help.

And how is it that you're actually helping? By writing a post about them in Ls-rcr forum, same way other folks make posts about them on twitter?

No. I cannot help them, I feel so useless. But the thing is people keep bugging with the tweets and a stupid hashtag #PrayForSyria
If you cant help, stop tweeting random prayers that arent even helping.

Indirectly it does help by drawing attention on it, hopefully enough to put it on the UN agenda.

Raising awareness towards an existing problem is the first step in fixing it, regardless if it’s in the form of a prayer online or a cry for help, obviously something is wrong, no one is listening so now they have to take it to the internet to hopefully get a group of people’s attention who can do something about it. Regardless of how you feel about it they are obviously defenseless to the problem so this is their way of reaching out to those who might care enough to fix it even if that might annoy people who are privileged enough to have feelings of resentment towards their actions.
